Не понимаю, зачем так сильно занижать диаметр шнура. Написано 0.23 а по факту 0.38 🙈. По возможности, пишите еще разрывную нагрузку в килограммах, раз уж измерения в метрике.

this is my go to braid! Superb quality and it is VERY AFFORABLE! Smooth and good weaving, i also did my own testing with the 17lbs Manster w8 without knot its breaking at around 17-19lbs and with an FG knot its break at around 16-18lbs! As always thank you for the amazing content!

Just my luck picking up my first braid (although the 15lb range) and video of an internet favourite comes up! 😆 One thing i don't understand... People say braid doesn't stretch much but all look to be stretching 50-100% on that small segment? What does it mean for when i get a 50m snag? I have to stretch it 100m to break? I would think line doesn't return to its specifications after that 😂😂 Is flouro or mono much much bigger stretch for a similar teat segment? Lots of (noob) questions🧐

Seems like a strong case for if you aren’t using a perfectly tied FG your better off using thinner lower lb line and going straight mono or floro

I used to using FG knot before changed to Relix knot for the last 2 years. Relix knot is easier to make and slightly stronger than FG knot without any problem of slack at the end of knot to ring guide like FG knot usually happened. Search and try it.

I use the alberto knot for freshwater fishing. With a 15lb flouro leader I have never had the knot fail. The leader always snaps first on bad snags. I can also tie it off in 1 minute, vs the FG which usually takes a few tries and a bit of swearing to get it right. I'd like to see this test done over with a more normal strength leader for freshwater/bass fishing. Having thin braid tied to a thick leader like that is going to have a significant impact on the integrity of the knot. It makes sense that the FG came out ahead in this test, though, since it is more suited to tying off on thicker leader line.

The worst braid I’ve ever owned

I’ve never taken advice from this channel again I traded up the yo -zuri for the varivas x8 and it was the worst braided line I’ve ever used I lost $20+ of lures because the line would snap non stop and super super super thin line easily when I had yozuri spooled up I didn’t have any issues censored to varivas high grade..

Buying option for suffix monoline

His could you Westin W3 8 Braid Dutch Orange 300m 0,305mm 22,1kg. I’ve heard so many different opinions about it. The older guys that fish a lot says it’s the best line to use and some of the folks that I’ve spoken with in the fishing story says otherwise. So I was wondering if you could do a test to see if it’s worth buying. The line it self can cost around 32-60 dollars depending on how much line you want and where you buy it from. Anyways great video and keep up the good work

C'est la raison pour laquelle je n'achète plus que des tresses venant du Japon chez YGK ou autre car le diamètre est toujours identique, ou plutôt il y a surtout la même quantité de fibre et le même poids, environ 2 grammes de matière au 100 mètres avec une PE1, c'est de très loin le plus important pour s'approcher de la réalité, le diamètre est vraiment secondaire, et malheureusement ce n'est absolument pas respecter dans tous les autres Pays. Le diamètre diffère selon le tissage et en plus une tresse neuve n'est parfois pas bien ronde, beaucoup plus ovale, serrage différent, revêtement plus ou moins épais même chez les très grande marque. Les faux diamètre de tresses dans le monde entier "sauf au Japon" vendent parfois une tresse comme PE1 mais en réalité c'est du PE3 soit 6 gramme au 100m donc 3 fois plus de matière, d'où la résistance extrême. Bien plus pire encore dans les diamètres extremement fins, J'avais acheté une tresse américaine de chez Berkley en 6/100, (la marque qui ment le plus sur le diamètre selon moi) au Japon une tresse de ce genre ça représente un PE inférieure à 0,2, extremement fin, impressionnant de finesse à tel point qu'on se demande comment on peut pécher avec une ligne aussi fine, sauf qu'en réalité la tresse faisait l'équivalent d'une PE1,2 soit plus de 5 fois supérieure en quantité de fibre, c'est inadmissible !

The FG knot test is more a testament to your ability to tie the knot consistently, not the strength of the line.

How about SC knot? It’s a popular knot as well as FG❤

ive been using suffix 832 for steelhead and salmon fishing and i love it i am switching over from power pro braids to suffix braid i have the 131 on my spinner rod even it does what i need it to and hasnt failed me

Performance seems to decrease the thicker the line is. I don't think there is a single instance where a 50 or 65lb line performed better than 15 or 20lb in the same model of line and in any of the brands. Sub-70% FG is disgusting!

I have trialled this line on my beach fishing reel and so far it has fallen in line with all the test results. Breaking strain is definitely higher than stated but gets fluffy or scuffed easily like the poor abrasion results in the test. Managed to fit 280m on a reel that suggests 300m of PE1.5

Worst line i have every used! The main problem with this line is that it frays terribly. As soon as you touch the rough surface, you have a cocoon, which greatly weakens the strength of the line. I absolutely do not recommend it!

Great test thank you. I switched from 50lb power pro to 50lb 832 this year on my frog rod fishing bass in heavy cover to see how it would perform. After many fish, and thousands of casts, the 832 performed better. Though original power pro is still an excellent line, I'm sticking with 832 for my heavy cover needs. The biggest difference was the micro fraying that was seen in pp after heavy use, while the 832 had much less.

Awesome test once again, showing rhe inconsistentcy makes this line less interesting. If all tests were around the best value it would have been an exceptional line, even the states diameter isn't real, the performance would have been awesome
