The factory rubber boot/gaiter can still be used with our short shifter. Also the factory Ford gear knob will still fit, for a full OEM look.

Hi, We make an awesome short shifter that is especially designed for the IS300. The shifter that Lexus used on the IS300 is specific to that model only and shifters that suit other Toyota gearboxes unfortunately wont work on the IS300. @@lasvegascrisis A good quality metal bushing will work really well. Just make sure its made of oillite bronze or similar ( copper will be to soft). We make bronze bushes for some other vehicles but not for the Miata/MX5 at this stage. The only real downside of bronze, is beacause its creating a metal to metal contact point as opposed to metal to plastc. They can be noisey. The plastc bush we supply in the kit is a high quality POM plastic, which is has low friction and high strength.

Hi. That would be correct. Any SR/Silvia shifter, although they look similar will not work on any of the Skyline gearboxes including the RB20DET gearbox. Our Skyline short shifters ( both Classic and Premium versions), are designed to work on all R32/33/34 5 speed transmissions, including RB20DET, RB25 and GTR.

The thread size is 10 x 1.50mm which is the same as the factory Falcon shift lever. So your factory shift knob will still fit.....or you can add a CUBE Speed gear knob :-)

Hi. Yes, our main office is in Australia! We have had lots of customers that have fitted an R154 into an LH/LX Torana's. Castlemaine Rod Shop, should be able to help out with the conversion bellhousing etc and we can of course provide you with an awesome short shifter! With the R154 itself, they have 4 different shifter locations, in the LH/LX you want to get an R154 with the shift position as far forward as possible, to have the shifter in a factory type location.

Hi, The plastic bushing on the end of the shifter lever, is the "sacraficial part" so provided this plastic bush is replaced when worn, the solid bush should last an incredibly long time. Maybe 500,000klm +. If you did ever need to replace the solid bush you would need to remove the trans and disassemble to get to this bushing and then press it out to replace it.

HiRyan. The only cut we did on the trans tunnel was, to make a boxed section to allow enough room for the reverse lockout solenoid (dont delete this solenoid). Beside that we have the trans and motor as far back as it will go without cutting the boxed section of floorpan, which is just behind the shifter hole in the factory floorpan. It's all tight, but it fits...just. If you want the ultimate weight distribution and a bit more room in front of the motor for cooling aids etec, you will want to consider fabbing a new transtunnel, so you can get everything back as far as possible.

@@cubespeedequipment870 thank you. I use to run a 2jz na-t/r154 setup but with prices the way they are, I'm hoping an LS swap is the way to go. Can't find any solid info on r154 to ls kits. They have one for a jeep but it looks kinda shotty. If you could give any advice to the LS swap in an MK3 supra it would be much appreciated. Thanks again

@@ryanwhelan2143 LS prices have gone up quite a bit, but bang for buck, they are still hard to beat. especially compared to a turbo JZ once you add in turbo and intercooler etc. Castlemanie rod shop do a R154 to LS adaptor kit, but T56 will be cheaper once you factor in all the parts to adapt R154 to the LS.

Hi The primaries are 1.65" OD stainless. There isn't much room on the RHD Supra between the steering column and the starter motor. We used CX racing headers (that are designed for LHD), which ended up getting modified extensively, to suit RHD . If we did it again, we would probably start with some VT-VZ headers and modify from there.

All of our short shifters retain the same shifter height as stock, but deliver 30-50% short shifts depending on the model.

Hi. The bush can take a bit of work to line up. Please check section 5 of the install instructions. Packing grease in the bottom of the bush helps keep it much straighter, so it lines up easier. Also please feel free to reach out to us at service@cubessped.com

These bushes will suit the W55 used the Toyota Pickup

In most cases the shifter frame bushes are completely worn out on these transmissions. We have either our solid bushes or genuine OEM Toyota rubber ones available.

Hi! We spent a lot of time getting the engine and trans to the most ideal position, then ended up making our own motor mounts and trans mount. We did initially try some made by CX Racing but found they didn't fit our car at all. Reach out on the future if you have any more questions and wishing you the best of success with your project!

Hi, We used budget version of a Dremel tool and the bit we used is what is called a cylindrical carbide burr. Most hardware or tool shops should know what you mean if you ask for one of these. Hope it all goes well ! :-)

Thanks for getting in touch! We haven't got any immediate plans for a VE short shifter install video. Our install instructions are pretty thorough, complete with photo's on installing the actual shifter and modifying the VE shifter frame, but is lacking details on how to pull the console apart etc.

Hi, Please check that the top donut bush is installed with the small bevel down. If that is OK, review the part of the video from 11min - 17mins, to make sure you have the pivot bush tight enough.

Our Skyline Premium short shifter - now comes complete with a factory style shifter to trans rubber boot/seal. The shifter to trans boot/seal is necessary for GTR's which are quite proned to leaking if no seal is installed. But even RWD Skylines can leak from this location if no seal is installed.

Our Classic is an awesome short shifter and has been used on 1000's of Skylines worldwide, but our Premium is even better....it is quite simply the best H pattern shifter money can buy for the Skyline R32/33/34 platform. 1. insulated shifter lever, which makes our shifter factory quiet. 2. shifter to trans seal to prevent loss of gear oil and gear oil smell. 3. Hi, We always recommend double checking to confirm if you have have the transmission with the direct mount shifter or remote/tripod mount shifter. If you accidentally order the wrong one we can always swap it over, but to save potential delays in installing your shifter its best to check to make sure you order the right one.

Just buy a straight extension or take off the z shape linkage, your shifter will be a little shorter but it feels great
