Hey boss can you send me what clutch did you replace it with Is it a ACT HD street?
Whwn I was in 8th grade I saw the fast n the furious movie the first 1 with the sweet black civics with them bad ass green lights underneath, i knew I had to get one someday and I did when I was in my 20s it was used n busted but I put lights under it and loved it then I crashed it. Now I’m a grown ass man n i drive a 2018 black civic si with lights underneath it and it is still a cool as the first time I saw those stupid movies that ruined my life I wouldn’t have it any other way I do it all again if I died and came back
should have supported the engine bro....
Did you also install the rear?
Yes I did! Rear is easier than front for sure!
brooo you made this look so easy im gonna cop some boomba mounts
Glad to hear! It’s easier said than done but with some good tools and some wiggling you got it in the bag
where did you get the red accent for the interiors?
did you have to upgrade you clutch master cylinder
We did not.
Did you have to do anything special for the timing belt? I seen the white marks do things have to be lined up?
any review on the black bushing? harsh vibrations? would you daily drive it?
Did you reuse the old hardware for the lower ball joint???
Ay, bro thanks.
I wanted to see the transmission being pulled.
Wish we could’ve recorded it, but as it was my brother and I. One pulling the transmission and the other controlling the engine jack making sure we have the situation under control.
@@TeamProjech.h My brother and I just got mine out and back in, and yeah..... You'd certainly need another set of hands.
Great video, every other video on fog lights I've seen skipped over the wiring, but this one helped a lot.
Glad our video was able to help!
I def. Need help installing mines. Need to link up !🙏🏼 Instagram?
When i turn the wheel it makes a creaking noise im getting these control arms but should i also get the ball joint from k tuned just to be safe
Always support the engine
Alignment afterwards?
At what mileage did the clutch started slipping?
It honestly started slipping due to my brother making more power and these clutches are known to not last.
Dang and here I am still on stock clutch at 65k miles with FBO E30 Tsp stage 2 tune. I think I might pay someone to do mines when the factory clutch goes out. Lol
same here, except for E30, but I have 100k on mine, guess I've been lucky
I got to around 65k as well but then it would slip on full 25 psi boost. Already had rv6 clutch just sitting in the box screaming put me in coach I'm ready lol
Is this a stage 1 kit ?
It should be!
did you say d10??? which fuse t did you use to tap into please and thank you?
I tapped into the DRL Fuse
bro made this look hella easy.
it is with the right tools😂
@@Toosmoothtolose I did this with no lift jack stands me and friends use a tree 😂✊🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲
It wasn’t as easy, I lift would’ve helped tho lol
lol thats the main reason mybuddy gets alot of my money i can do alot of the work myself but the lack of a lift or a proper jacks and jack stands kills me errytime@@TeamProjech.h
Bro what is that rattling sound after the install 😂
Where in the driving portion? Lmao😂😂
@@TeamProjech.hyeah at 20:47
@@rawdtg4318 yeah turns out it was the flex pipe forgot to reply lol. Remember to double check all bolts and hangers lol
@@TeamProjech.h oh so it was just loose ? lol happens
I had the dreaded nut thats supposed to be welded to the subframe where the rear control arm bolt is supposed to tighten too snap off. Was able to tighten it using vice grips and now just need to weld it back on
Brake it in by near-redlining the car lol
You already know😉😉
How long in total did it take you guys?
In total maybe 2.5 Days of work
If you know what you are doing 1 guy can do it in 8 hours total lol
I just replace the transmission mount on a 2020 Toyota Corolla SE with 49k miles, the mount was completely destroy, I have to check the rear because the car has some slight vibration. The quality is really bad of those mounts for one to go with 49k miles.
I’m getting a constant vibration around 60mph and when you are stationary and reve the car in neutral it vibrates are these the same symptoms u had
Where ya located I would pay you to do this on my civic. I need a clutch it started to slip
We are in California.
Did you run into any issues with not having the motor supported from the top?
No I didn’t not run into any issues
So I can do this job with just a 1/2" drive ratchet, 17mm and 19mm sockets?? I have a 24 inch breaker bar too.. maybe get a decent pry bar to move the engine forward on that rear mount? The instructions say I need a 17mm wrench??
You can, but I believe the wrench is used just for clearance issues.
@@TeamProjech.h hey man really appreciate the fast ass reply on a 3 year old video. Think I'm gonna get a set of these and install this weekend, just trying to make sure I have all the stuff I'll need since I don't have the biggest tool set lol. Seems pretty straight forward though. Just wasn't sure if I really needed a 17mm wrench or could just use another socket lol. Doesn't look like I'll need deep well sockets or anything. Do you still run these or do you not have the car anymore man?? Any thoughts? Thanks again bro 🙏
@@harrylou90 no problem! Here to help! I know if you use a smaller ratchet and socket you might be able to get on those areas that have clearance issues for like bigger tools like myself I got some big hands lol and Yes my si has been on these mounts and I love them! To this day! We run Boomba Racing on all our Vehicles whenever is applicable! Still
@TeamProjech.h nice, looking forward to seeing how the boomba mounts will change the car! Hopefully it'll go as smooth as it looks in this video for me! I'm in a part of the country where things rust and seize up unfortunately! My car hasn't lived here its whole life So I'm hoping it won't be too bad!
@@harrylou90 best of luck! If you need any help don’t hesitate to reach out and we will try our best to help!
how much clearance is needed to comfortably get up in there and do this? im shopping around for a new jack ik my harbor freight trolly jack isnt gonna get the job done with its 12 inches of max height lol
We honestly don’t know the exact height but I would say about 18 inches off the floor
Is the link for the 06-11 civic si motor mounts include all the mounts ?
Nice! 🎉 you made a very detailed video demonstrating mastery of a meticulous process and great effort! That’s what’s up! 🎉
Thank you! appreciate it! We try to challenge ourselves with bigger and better installs.
Did you sit the motor on anything?
I didn’t as we took them off one by one not all at once.
@@TeamProjech.h good to know. I have a few mounts sitting waiting to be installed but every time someone said they would help they would flake. Little scared to do it myself but only one way to learn
@@Wannabestatic That's Awesome! Best of luck. if you need any help don't hesitate to message us! Do One mount at a time !
Did u buy both bars as a set because I can't find the set on ebay only the rear.
Nice ride man
Hey dude, u still have ur stock recirculation valve?
As in installed in the car?
Hi bro, i did everything as you did and now my tpms and my traction control lights are always on, did I messed up with the fuses?
Yooo, did you Tap into the DRL fuse? (daytime Running Light)
@@TeamProjech.h just figured out, basically fk7s computer needs a minute to re read after unplugging the battery so i just went for a spin and after a no traction, no steering assistance, no brakes for 5 mins it went back to normal. Terrifying but all good
@@atnfatality3026 oh yes the whole “system calibration”
What is the song name playing in the background? That sounds very relaxing
Greay vid man... Hey wsht is the torque spec for the front engine mount
thank you for sharing, this is my next project to my sI.
Love the vid man. I have a plug and play harness where I attached everything into it’s appropriate place. My button has power but my lights aren’t getting power. I don’t have a direct power wire going to my battery. My power wire from the relay plugs in under the driver dash along with a neutral (white wire) what seems to be a remote wire (blue wire) connects to the fog lights. I literally plugged everything up and have no power to the lights. What do you think I’m doing wrong. Thanks In advance.
So I have a plug and play wiring harness. Will I still have to fuse tap and connect to the battery?
Awesome work my man! I am about to take it on but will use different brand. Thank you for sharing. Your input post mod has helped. Thank you from a fellow CAli, Si driver!
Great to Hear! Hope you have a great time installing them!
Thank you very much that video help a lot
Glad to help!
From Puerto Rico good job thank you help a lot. 👍👍👍👍
Would it work for a sedan do you think? I have 2018 lx and want to get these
Yes it would work! The 10th Gen are All the same except the rear.
Does this work on the sedan version of the 2017 lx want to install this for a new styled type r bumper so I could have fog lights.
Are those bushing poly or harden rubber?
Flutter is almost impossible with a cold air intake and no tune. You need hondata or ktuner and a short ram intake because of less resistance. No aftermarket bov or bpv is needed and no it won’t hurt your turbo. I speak from experience
