    As a patient who has struggled with an eating disorder when I was very young, this video is incredibly disturbing. I am so glad I did not have nurses exhibit this kind of behavior while I was being treated during a very difficult time in my life. I hope no other patients with eating disorders are treated like this.

    I am a veterinary assistant, and believe it or not, I have had a needle stick injury. Quite honestly, it happens because of carelessness. When it happened to me, I was attempting to remove the needle (to toss it in the sharps container), when the needle got stuck, and wouldn't rotate off, like it was supposed to. So, rather than asking for assistance, I fiddled with it, and ended up accidentally pulling the cap off of it, and jabbing myself in my index finger. It happens, however it is far more serious in human medicine, than in veterinary medicine.

    MommaRabbit, you are clearly uneducated and ignorant about NAS. If a mother detoxes off opiates while pregnant, she risks a stillborn baby or miscarriage. The baby will go through withdrawal in the womb. What do you suggest? Cause pregnancy is gonna happen whether you like it or not, forced abortions? I'm sure you're against that too. Some mothers already have lots of clean time and were already on methadone or subutex before conceiving, so putting the babies mothers in jail so the baby is motherless is a GREAT idea! *rolls eyes* How DARE those horrible mothers in recovery! Oh, and the babies are humanely detoxed. If your stepgrandchild suffered the entire 7 hours you had her, you should have done something and brought it to the ER, as it obviously wasn't done detoxing!

    A Jail cell is much more preferred to me for doing this to another child. If more went to jail for this. I am sure it would DETER a lot more USER from getting pregnant. Right now many think this is acceptable because a Dr would not be writing them the prescription if it was not. THOSE women are the ones MISINFORMED. It is wrong to make those babies go through what the Mother would not. No one knows the long term affects YET either. Its a wait and see, deal with it then attitude. NOT RIGHT at all

    If you USE or are a recovering ADDICT. Other drugs like what is used to treat Cancer etc.. WARN us DO NOT TAKE WHILE PREGNANT! We ALL know this it is not new news. Get clean and stop using GO through this withdrawal before hand YOURSELF so you can SAVE the baby from having to do what you could NOT. Our laws NEED changed to protect infants from this. Someone should be held accountable for doing this HARM and it is HARM.

  • @MommaRabbitKY
    @MommaRabbitKY Před 11 lety

    There is NO comforting these babies. You just have to go through the moments with them. There cry is not a NORMAL infant cry one would hear if the infant was needing feed or changed or what ever the infants normal need should be. It is a SCREECH cry of horrible pain and her body stiffened straight out like a board. I stayed in a dark bed room for 2 days giving her nothing but my attention and trying everything I knew to do from experience to comfort her. Someone should be held accountable!

    I just kept a step grandchild for two days born in July. she is 3 months old now and born with Subutex Addiction. The first time I kept her I had her for 7 hours it was a horrible experience for me as a experienced Mother and Grandmother of 12. I have been Mothering for 28 years and I can tell you ALL this NO baby should go through this sort of thing. It should be a CRIME committed on the child by the prescribing Doctor and the Mother that choose daily to medicate HERSELF and the growing baby.
