    If concerned about the fit i would advise putting a bit of loctite bearing fit between the splines, like others have said after the 8 bolts are tightened correctly its not a cause for concern, Sram will tell you its bad because they ultimately want you to buy their product, it will probably void your warranty using anything but SRAM parts anyway

    Good content, thanks. For those of us using TPU tubes, you can't put more than a few psi into them before fitting them to the rim, and it looks like this inflator - with its slower fill rate - might be controllable enough to do that.

    • @Mamilian
      @Mamilian Před 29 dny

      It's hard to say without seeing it, but I suspect you might have. The end cap should interface with the inner race of the freehub bearing, if it's touching the freehub or outer race, this could explain what you're experiencing.

    • @DadMichoMurphy
      @DadMichoMurphy Před 29 dny

      @@Mamilian That's exactly what it turned out to be. I have two sets of wheels, with 370 and 350 hubs, as I found out, the freehub bodies are NOT compatible between the two, well, the 350 body will work on the 370, but the 370 body hangs up on the seal for the 350, causing it to be an unplanned fixie. :). It assembles and seems to work up until you tighten up the through axle.

    It's quite surprising to me that the option for internal cabling looks more like an after thought solution instead of one which is properly designed. The cluster of cables all entering the downtube at the same point is messy. Not to mention how they all then pop out and pops back in via the chainstay. Bad engineering.

    • @Mamilian
      @Mamilian Před měsícem

      60g is a lot to put in a road tire. Usually 30-40g in road, 60-80g in a gravel. Doubling the sealant does give you a better chance of it eventually working.

    • @ivanyhtang
      @ivanyhtang Před 23 dny

      @@Mamilian I agree +60mL is a lot for road but that's what I've done when I top up. That said, I just got a cut on the tread of a 28mm tire and the muc-off sealant seems to seal well enough for air to hold, however after riding 10-20 minutes, the tire sprays sealant again. I assume the cut is opening up under flex and stress when riding. In other words, the muc-off sealant doesn't appear to be strong enough (on its own) to keep a 3mm puncture robustly sealed, at least for higher road pressures (I ride 60-65 psi). What is your recommended road sealant now?? Great videos!

    I was worried about the same thing. I did a test with Cafelatex Vegetalex where I poured the sealant into a cup and drew it up with my injector. No particles remained in the cup, so I was reassured all the particles were being injected. However, that was this one type of sealant. I don’t know if this is true for Orange Seal, Stan’s , etc. I went with the Vegetalex because I was tired of cleaning sealant off frames and out of tires, and not being able to get it out of clothing. This sealant should wash up and remove easily. I am willing to sacrifice a bit of sealing power for the benefits this provides. I liked your video, it shows you are thinking about things beyond the manufacturers info. Thanks!
