The gasoline guzzling mayhem gets fatiguing at the expense of the characters. Needs more focused fury. "The gasoline mayhem is breathtaking but gets fatiguing, unlike its more focused predecessor, Fury Road. Both Alyla Browne and Anya Taylor-Joy are noteworthy Furiosas. Though their presence isn't enough to save this overlong prequel from a spluttering narrative. What saddens me most is that it...

The Curse - Episode 10 - Finale (Spoiler Breakdown)
I believe when Louie kept repeating Claudia is dead I was dead. That last I was dead is when he accepted who he is. Amazing writing, videography, music choices and ACTING. Wonderful just Wonderful. Let’s GO season 3!
The Talamaca knew how dangerous Louis was because of Lestat being his maker. Louis is much more powerful then even he realized because he was running from his vampiric nature. But when he was crazy and hellbent on revenge - he was a force to be reckoned with. It also took Claudia a much longer time to die from the sunlight because she too carried the blood of Akasha from Lestat. In the book "The Vampire Lestat" Lestat becomes a rock star singing about being a vampire in order to draw fire from the vamps going after Louis. So even though they don't resume their romantic relationship, the love is true and they always come to protect each other. (Although they are endgame) Lestat & Daniel both work to protect Louis until things flip when Akasha awakens. Something to think about - Armand said he preserved Louis happiness. Daniel made Louis happy. Maybe his turning Daniel wasn't fully out of spite. Perhaps it was as apology gift to Louis. Perhaps it's because Armand finally found someone who could best him & hold his own against him. And by being his maker - he would always have someone he couldn't read and would therefore be a match for his own mind. Or perhaps Daniel wanted the gift. We'll see in season three, perhaps?
what is this bullshit?
Update: I've edited a sentence in the opening of the video with the CZcams Editor for clarity. Previously, it sounded like I was giving Daniel and the Talamasca credit for burning the coven. The audio skips a bit. Sorry for that. My old comment below: Minor Correction: In opening of video a line was mistakenly cut out in final edit. Before "Thanks to Daniel Molly & the Talasmaca.." I was supposse to say "Louis & Armand had a falling out." It sounds like I'm saying the coven got its just deserts thanks to Daniel. Though Armand was part of the coven...and he did get his just deserts in this episode... so it still makes sense maybe. Sorry.
You sound sleppy...
That episode, man! My heart!
the tawdry sex is just a little bit of the spice in the pool of blood that is the show. yeah.....
I agree with this
Nope. Spoiler alert: Armand needs to erase the memory of the time he tried to "fix" Claudia...by cutting off her head and attaching it to a woman. Then when Claudia was burnt in the sunlight, he removed the black stitches that kept the head on.
The Immortal Universe has vampires, witches.... and now Frankenstein!
I think it would be better to remove the animated head, . Your overview is quite helpful, but the head is distracting.❤
But my cute lil head!
I screamed at my screen when the coven grabbed everyone. This show just sucks you in and takes you on a ride. Real Rashid is up to something. Why lie to cover Daniel?
Remember, Real Rashid is Talamasca, so he possesses psychic abilities to block Armand reading his mind. So Real Rashid's overall motives will be revealed in the final two episodes of this second season. We'll get a Season 3 and 4 covering The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned.
I think you're right. I think that this might be Armand and Louis' relationship. I also see how this was like "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf". The ugly back and forth retorts did remind me of Martha and George. Thank you for the recap/review.
20:05 the detail of Armand being really into technology is a book detail... They did change it to an iPad in the show but in the books he's like SUPER obsessed with microwaves and blenders. and the obsession is quite dark bc vampires... where he will put a live animals into the microwave and blend things together that really were NEVER meant to be blended together...So yeah, Armand constantly holding an iPad... It's a little Easter egg for fans of the book who know that detail about Armand.
I’m pretty sure Louis explains it as since he’s older it has little effect on him, the sun I mean
I felt like I was intruding on a divorce. Loved seeing Louis nasty side come out. So many people in the fandom infantalizes him when he's just as awful as the others. That said, his suicide scene was heartbreaking to see. Armand has done nothing wrong in his entire life, period 😂 Party boy Daniel was up for anything. This was truly a great hour of tv. I loved the breakdown/review. Can't wait to catch the next one.
Be honest, the film deviated from "max", that's why it was received poorly
I think the movie came too late to capitalize on the success of Fury Road + audiences have gotten used to waiting for home release. The Mad Max fanbase is pretty niche anyway. I doubt a Tom Hardy lead movie would've done much better in this climate. Furiosa, the character, is super beloved. It's not that. I just think it was too long and didn't live up to Fury Road, so a lot of the word-of-mouth was to skip it.
Great breakdown and you got a sub! Hope you can review the miniseries Under the Bridge? The final episode ends this Wednesday.
Your voice is so sweet!
Thank you so much 🙂
gracias x reaccionar el show es taaann bueno
The most intense episode yet. I think this one felt more condensed than the novel and I'm glad The Captain and Lana didn't get it on or else it would have felt so wrong.
Yeah. I never liked The Captain + Lana ship. It felt too conventional.
In the bedroom in peisode 1 Armand told Louis they can get Daniel to say "what happened next" so it seems they or atleast Armand is trying to get Daniel to uncover his own memories
Yes, I suspect so. We see in this episode that Daniel has a flashback of some repressed memory. Louie smiles when he gets under Daniel's skin, prodding him about Alice. They're definitely playing mind games.
I think episode five is my favorite episode not directed by Park Chan Wook. Lana glossing him over to bring out the singer from the war film was heartbreaking by the Captain's reaction.
Mmmm. Season 2. I am vibrating.
Disappointing finale
I doesn't agree, for me it was the perfect show and it was the best ending i saw since a long time!
I think tje 9th episode left us wanting something worth Mariko's death.
@@xtscarfacem8255 you had in in episode 10 when right after the earthquake during the council to go to war against Toranaga, Asano said to Ichido "it's funny how the same exact thing already happen when the regents wanted to go to war against Mahiko" and while saying that he lost his mind. When you take this scene and the one where the courtisane chief told Toranaga he wasn't the kind to let his army die because of an earthquake and she spoke about somes other Toranaga soldier she spotted not so far. That my friend was the biggest reveal, Toranaga can control the illusion of an earthquake probably by bombing underground cavity (he knew well Osaka because he was held captive as a kid there). Meaning he planned the fall of Mahiko only because he knew Ochiba was promised to become a queen and he wanted a leverage against her. That's why he gave Mahiko to Buntaro, to make sure she would never forget her desire of dying and revenge. Toranaga is a devious old fox and i loved his relation with Blackthorne! In the scene when Toranaga tried to dissuade Blackthorne to retaliate against the portuguese and Blackthorne said 'unless if i win' was one of the best scene about the whole show. Toranaga was ready to kill him if Blackthorne couldn't become a pawn because Toranaga expertise is about the Bushido, the samurais. Like he said, he didn't needed Blackthorne to win, since he was a kid he started his plan, even making sure his own brother would hate him to be sure when the moment would come he would betray him. About Blackthorne it was a true friendship, Toranaga isn't the kind of men to take any risk but with Blackthorne he did without any apparent reason, even when Blackthorne tempted him to jump to the sea, he did and almost died at the same occasion and even tho, he didn't killed him because he found Blackthorne fascinating, when Toranaga hated the samurais, Blackthorne was the only one in his eyes that deserves his respect and that made Toranaga open his heart.. while he had to sacrifice Mahiko.. that's why he was so lost at the end and started to kill farmers even tho he was the culprit and knew it was unfair. But even tho everyone didn't cared, Blackthorne offered his life for Toranaga salvation, even tho he knew Toranaga could just once again say "just do it and stfu". If Toranaga said he would had to destroy Blackthorne ship once again, it wasn't because Blackthorne was useful to him (even tho Blackthorne is really useful, Toranaga never used his skills), he said that only because he consider Blackthorne as one of his true friend and don't want to loose him (also because he knew Blackthorne wouldn't truly mind because of his love for Japan). Anyways, i'm more then happy of the show, sure it would have been cool to have just 2 mores episodes to be able to actually see Toranaga big scheme happen, i understand why they didn't. The whole point of the show wasn't war, it was the illusion of it. There's no point in Toranaga fighting because the samurais follow the Bushido and it's a major handicape for him, except if he have the biggest army, he just can't win on the battlefield, samurai would fight fair and if never he dare to be flagrant about his scheming on the battlefield, even his allies would had betrayed him because of the Bushido way of doing things.
For those interested, I did a follow up and responded to comments on stream: www.twitch.tv/videos/2124257693
The F in communism stands for Food.
I don’t understand your viewing of this series. You sound like you go by they/them, and yet you don’t play Fallout, especially Fallout New Vegas? Like come on! This is like being Italian and not liking pasta, or Irish and not an alcoholic. Fallout New Vegas is your culture. All jokes aside, not every form of media needs to be class conscious 24/7. The bit that was there was nice, especially for Amazon! Rings of Power wasn’t out there making pro union or pro worker propaganda out there either. Also in the Fallout show Muldover brought power back to the wasteland. That’s a huge win for the poor in the Wasteland. Water treatment facilities might kick back on, street lights so people don’t get mugged at night as much, machines that make food or materials could come back online, what I am getting at it is huge what she and the other NCR survivors accomplished. I think a huge disconnect for me was the raiders in vault 33 and how they were handled. Like are they raiders or are they NCR survivors turned evil? She has NCR Rangers in the final fight why couldn’t they come with her to the Vault raid instead of the savage raiders? And them being killed when it could have been more interesting if they were NCR that just wanting a better life and hurting the vault was the only way, instead of them being blood thirsty raiders who needed to be put down like the animals they were (that’s how the show portrayed them I wasn’t advocating it). All in all, best advice stop trying to make everything about material conditions and class struggle in a video game show, and just mellow out and enjoy the show for what it is and not what you want/demand it to cover or do.
As a show that constantly references the real world (the red scare, corporate power, etc.), I think it's more than fair to be critical of its commentary. As you point out Moldaver's faction was underdeveloped. Telling a viewer to chill out and enjoy the ride is reductive. I'm not telling anyone to stop having fun. I had some fun with the show, too, but it doesn't mean we can't be critical of it or voice our own personal perspective.
You simply do not understand fallout which is fine
Let's be honest. Lucy's background.....bad dad has been played to death.
i watched the show before starting the fallout game series, and i used the old show "blood drive" as a kind of refrence to what kind of show they tried going for, and the comedy dident hit like that show does, also the way that naivety or the outright stupidy of some of the characters imo just does more harm than good to the story imo. it looks great ofc, and norm, as well as goggins story line's are actually compelling, but i cant help but to feel that people overhype bare-minimum a little to much simply bc "Video game on TV now"
Gonna be honest, I feel like fallout as a setting just isn't for you with things like not liking the old timey music, or violence and tropes, and fallout has always taken lots from westerns and other media, so calling it derivative is just... another sign the setting isn't for you in general. All the other joke characters you claim were out of place are entirely consistent with the games too.
I have to tell you as much as I think both of these are mediocre at best you lost your argument with me when you tried to hold the last of us up as something that should be repeated any more than a show like Willow should be
Gay
What frightens me more is that this is hyping people for a Fallout 5. It's like they reset their brains to how incompetent of a developer Bethesda is.
The real consequence of capitalism in the show is the apocalypse itself.
It would have been nice to see more of the consequences pre-apocalypse. Moldaver could have given some voice to that, but they decided to make her apolitical.
The lats of us is definitely top of my list as far as game adaptations go. But I thoroughly enjoyed this show as well. I had very few issues with it. I felt some things happened unnecessarily, and Max wasn't my favorite, but he's tolerable, and it didn't take away from the show. I'd say 8.5/10 would watch again.
Hey dude loved your review.... If feel your videos deserves more views. I feel you really need some EYE CATCHING THUMBNAILS... I can help you with that... That will eventually help you reach more viewers... Reply if you want good thumbnails
That's my criticism of True Det. S1. It's waaay too male-dominated. While Nite Country feels much more like real life from a female cop's POV. And once you see the ending I hope you'll appreciate that aspect especially. From the trailers, I could tell American Fiction had a very superficial feel. But Nitw Country has been fascinating with its social politics. Ethnic and gender roles work brilliantly here. After you see it all, I think you will agree.
I saw the finale. While I appreciate the change of perspective in Night Country, the last couple of episodes didn't quite land for me. Some key character arcs felt too condensed, like Leah's and Peter's. The "who done it" reveal was at end was cathartic, but would've had more impact if we'd had a deeper understanding of the native community. The politics overall were mixed, ending up on the favor of "good cops" doing the right thing as opposed to addressing systemic change, as is common in detective dramas. Plus the whole mental illness vs super natural theme was under cooked.
@@moonbathchats I agree, this series really should been 8 - 13 episodes (all the other seasons got 8 eps). Cuz that would have made the supporting characters much more interesting. And they could have also teased a lot more about the cabal of cleaning women in every nook and cranny of this society. Along with providing even more fascinating insights into Inupiaq culture. But that's HBO's fault. Not the story makers. And from what I've seen, the majority of reviews hold out season 1 like it was the second coming. And so they don't seem to appreciate the freshness of a female-led story and what that brings to the detective genre. But I do. And I think the point was to show that even though you might not be able to make systemic change. You can and maybe must reclaim your communities. And eke out whatever measure of justice you can. Closing down both Tsalal and the mine is a pretty phenomenal feat in our world. Honestly, this was one of the happiest endings I've seen.
"PromoSM"
You could put an insomniac to sleep in 5 minutes
I laughed so hard at this episode. Great analysis.
Personally I see Asher as way better of a person than Whitney. He is flawed and damaged but she is just horrible. She isn’t authentic with anyone ever. She uses Asher but hates him, she probably cheated on him(hence the abortions), she is a classic narcissist who uses people until they don’t need them, then they might as well be sent into space and not exist.
Yeah I think the show positions Whitney as more horrible, while Asher is largely pathetic. But both are satires of the out-of-touch liberal.
The not revealing the gender thing seems to also be a Jewish tradition/superstition.
I need someone else that I know to watch this finale to make sure I didnt dream it
It was a limited series there is no season 2
Benny Safdie said there could be, but for me, there is no show without Asher.
@@lb2696 that would be absolutely trash if they did that
The guy in the house. I believe is someone who is going to help him steal some of the appliances. Before he gets evicted. Remember The photographs that her father was showing her about people stealing things
ending also reminds me of Junji Ito.
“There’s not some curse, I’m the problem! It’s not magic, it’s me. I’m a bad person and I’ve been dragging you down with me. I’m all in on you. I’m all in on Whitney. Whatever it takes, I’ll do it. And you won’t even have to tell me anymore because I know and I won’t be guessing. Because I know you, baby. If you didn’t want to be with me and I actually truly felt that, I’d be gone. I’d disappear. You wouldn’t have to say it. I would feel it and I would disappear.”
“ I know exactly what to do, don’t worry”
You're in space
Not enough room for another baby.
this ending totally messed me up
