    I have a huuuge scene that i wanna render with evee next , and the Global Ilumniation is not lighting the enviorment bright enough to being able to see it properly ( it ried to increse light powers but that didnt make a very good scene either , i think the gi in evee next lacks an adjuster for how much global ilumantion is strong , somthing like. Athickness or strenght value or somthin , liek the ssgi addon had for blender 3.2

      @AlternaVisionStudio Před 2 dny

      Every solution has it's limitation, you could definitely use eevee next for your scene but it really just depends on your needs, depending on the actual scene sometimes cycle can be faster and more stable.

      @aliosanlou4425 Před 2 dny

      @AlternaVisionStudio Yes exactly , sometimes when u compare the overall quality and render time between EVNext & Cycles , the cycles has the edge

    • @AlternaVisionStudio
      @AlternaVisionStudio Před 2 dny

      @@aliosanlou4425 Definitely agree, eevee for me is mostly to render things such as motion graphics, fog heavy scenes since it handles volumes nicely or really long animations. But otherwise cycle is the way to go, no scene had taken more than 1 hour to render on my computer, so spending time on optimizing eevee and making it look like cycle seems like a waste of time. Cycle is fast, stable and realistic.

      @AlternaVisionStudio lets be hopefull that soon enough blender improve EVEE in a way that its as realistic and optimized as UE5 Engine

      I am sure it will get there in terms of realism, but it does not even have to compete with Unreal engine 5, both are way too different they don't even effect each other in terms of userbase.

    Good tutorial. I was wondering why when I import the image to photoshop to do some post-processing (EXR file) The image overall gets brighter. I imagine it is because it's a 32 bit image, but is this only a photoshop thing or does it happen in other image progams too? (like affinityphoto) Does the render preview in blender show a 16bit version of the resulting image?

    • @AlternaVisionStudio
      @AlternaVisionStudio Před 5 dny

      Thank you ! For the most part for EXR raw image editing davinci resolve is the best software, how if you want to use photoshop and affinity as well as davinci you would need to do preparations inside of blender and inside the photo editing software, ensuring that both have the same color profile and transform, i have a tutorial for that on my channel check it out.

      @@AlternaVisionStudio Thanks, I just watched your video. I didn't know color management wasn't applied on EXR in blender. Still, what's the point on saving with exr if you are gonna use the same color management on other program?

    • @AlternaVisionStudio
      @AlternaVisionStudio Před 5 dny

      @lautaroarroyo8527 for the most part, you are going to bake the image at the end with the color space viewable by most screens. But the point of using EXR is the high dynamic range, which gives better highlights and shadows and helps so much with avoiding blown out areas, overexposed or very underexposed area. It also allows you to make more drastic changes to the exposure without losing details. It's definitely a standard and not a choice anymore for anything serious.

    I used all the time volume scatter but with big scenes is for me non sense. I start use very minimum volume scatter, but much more mist pass. Then I mixing all together and very very much I post production other fog files in png or png sequence with blending.

    • @AlternaVisionStudio

      The best way to learn usually is to follow the blender official documentations to learn most of the useful tools. After which you'll need to learn some very very basic levels of fundamentals, such as geometry topology, basic texturing, understand how textures and pbr workflow works and how geometry effects the surface. After which learn lighting. This whole process would probably take 10 to 20 hours and you will be able to start on making scenes without tutorials. You will struggle a bit but you will ALWAYS find solution and workarounds.

    Handy tip with cube blocking the light. I am not sure, but you already have a lot of threes in the background. They should be enough to produce a strong shadow in the image's foreground. Anyway, I will try this next time. In this kind of scene, I usually add a large plane with cloud texture and set it to transparent, to produce something like cloud shadow. In this case, it will add some diversity to the ground shadows. I'm just interested in general, do you model some architecture on your own? I understand that it is easier to import the SKP model for this kind of video.

    • @AlternaVisionStudio
      @AlternaVisionStudio Před 9 dny

      @vrharh Thanks ! I model all projects be it commercial or personal, mostly to get a nice topology so i can have more freedome to change things later on during the process. In the case of youtube i don't see a reason as to why i would show the repititive modeling task, it is the easiest part of the process and many tutorials focus on that topic, all though planning to make some tutorials in the future about modeling skightly trickier architecture. Also i definitely agree, the trees should have been enough and i actually mentioned that during the video, but sometimes you want a fuller shadow, which is where a solid cube or plane come in handy .

    Love the content, I'm curious if you ever use matte paintings / photos for the foreground/background? I draw a lot of inspiration from the rendering studio "mir", and most of their renderings seamlessly blends 2D and 3D to make their renderings as photorealistic as possible. Its obviously more difficult for us, as renderings studios at times hire freelance photographers to take pictures of a specific context/city.

    • @AlternaVisionStudio
      @AlternaVisionStudio Před měsícem

      Matte paintings are important, one form of it is backplates for car rendering for instance which is mostly do involving 2D/3D, but yeah matt painting is very important, recently i am doing most things in full cgi, especially humans and if the realism is not up to the level i want i enhance it either by drawing on top of the render or enhancing it with stable diffusion.

    I wonder why that I just cant give this landscape material like you did in the vedio,only color but without texture.But when I link the material with a cube,it works instead.

    • @AlternaVisionStudio
      @AlternaVisionStudio Před měsícem

      Make sure you are using cycle to preview, check your object scale and use a color ramp and a math node to crunch the values more.

      Thank you ! A breakdown would not benefit as much since it delves a bit deeper into technical workarounds but maybe a tutorial series or an interior animation masterclass would help in the future, but it is within my future plans.

    visual game engines just give you tools to access the code unreal give you the most tool. people don't understand that people think it's graphics only. evee wont pass lumen anytime soon though. unreal does suck at one thing and thats 4k since it can't do that natively.

    • @AlternaVisionStudio
      @AlternaVisionStudio Před měsícem

      Eevee and unreal can't be compared, just a nice hook in the thumbnail and a base comparison that most people will relate to.

      @@AlternaVisionStudio Wow, the world is really small :) I am really pleased that you know me and that you have followed my work in the past. It is truly a great honor for me! You remember correctly, I started using Lightwave more than 10 years ago, then, even though I loved that software a lot, I switched to Blender in 2017 and it was love at first sight. Since then, apart from the first year of transition where I used both, from 2018 I have been using only Blender and I am really in love with this program. I take this opportunity to tell you that I have also started following you here on CZcams because I found your videos/tutorials really well done and detailed. Your content is a really useful and important resource for the Blender community. I take this opportunity to thank you again for everything and for the nice words you used towards me, I completely reciprocate them :) Thank you very much. I really follow you with pleasure :) Please forgive me about my poor english :) Cheers from Italy :) have a great day
