How do you sync the sound from your H4 to your video?

Novo guitars are so sick & so is the s1h! I’m still rocking an s1h & eva1. When I need AF I use the g9ii.

Why did you need to replace the s1h? To keep it in canon ecosystem?

Great camera, shot on it for several years. I’d highly recommend the color profile from Owlbot, pretty much fixed the issue I sometimes had with mixed lighting and it gets you closer to Arri.

We still run C300 Mark II alongside our arri amiras. Absolutely love the image off them. It really goes to show that any camera made in the past 10 years is usable in a professional environment. I still regularly get camera requests for the Sony f55. All the new mirrorless cameras are really convenient and impressive, but if you work outside of social media most filmmakers are better off buying an old Cinema camera than a new mirrorless.

I was searching CZcams to see if someone was going to post a video about using the C300 mkii in 2024 and guess what popped up?! This is a great video and it has helped me to decide on getting this camera! Keep the videos coming as I would like to see it used in an interview setting and how you choose picture profiles and codecs!

If you get the audio adapter XLR 1, you can use one or two shotgun mics, it supplies 48v phantom power up to 96khz sample rate, with volume control and pad0 to -20db. Powered by cameras hotshoe mount Great piece of kit, just used it on a shoot with a borrowed S5 and a zoom h6, xlr1 was attached to S5 xlrs wete attached to lighting C clamps directed attached the actors, spot on sound I have S1H.

There is an XLR option on the S1h. Panasonic (like Sony) make a two channel XLR audio box that fits via the hotshoe. Works great. You need to buy a Smallrig cage that fits around this XLR audio unit and lets you attach a top handle above this XLR unit with enough space to get decent grip around the handle, which may make it a bit top heavy for some tastes, but its what I've been doing with the S1, and its been pretty good. But hey if you can afford a Sony FX3, why not.

Hi ! I also have a Canon R5C + RS3 Pro. And I can't find a Type C LP-E6 dummy battery. At least, something that could reliably power the R5C up to 8K60. Do you have a Battery Type C dummy to offer me?

I’ve had a pair of them for years and probably won’t let them go until I see what an S1H II has to offer. I do miss the EVA-1 style body however.

how is the autofocus?its useful?

I was going to buy this camera but I bought the s52x and just use that and save money so when and if s1hx comes out I have the money

It hase face detection but it doesn't have phase detection.

Не используй фокусировку по человеку, используй центральный или матричный замер. Камера бывает ошибается в режиме фокусировки по человеку и в определенных условиях начинает рыскать, в других режимах работает гораздо стабильней. Но вообще, S1H приучает работать с ручной фокусировкой, а если без нее никак, то Lidar будет отличное решение. Но лично я выработал привычку снимать с ручным фокусом и на текущий момент чувствую, что это на порядок более удобная и контролируемая съемка. В любом случае, S1H даже сейчас по качеству изображения находится на голову выше многих современных камер. Если основные съемки не требуют большого количества режимов слоумо, то эта камера еще лет 5-8 будет абсолютно актуальна... Но вообще, чем больше начинаешь снимать и чем сложней съемки, тем меньше задумываешься о современных автофокусах. Допустим, современные автофокусы хорошо держат людей и все фанаты автофокуса напирают только на это. Но что делать если снимаешь толпу, если объект не человек, да еще с бликами или в непонятных условиях освещенности... На все эти вопросы фанаты автофокуса могут дать ответ либо "незнаю", либо "отключаю"... Но если отключать хваленые автофокусы на Canon или Sony, то тогда они вообще проигрывают Panasonic. :) В общем, S1H потрясающая камера, но для тех, кто думает и не ленится. Лично я ее очень люблю. :)

I plan to buy this lens for wedding videography with my GH5. Is it usable considering the slow focus? Is anyone used it for wedding or other scenario where face autofocus is preffered? Thank you

The studio i work with has 4 S1H's just sitting unused on a shelf in the studio. I had never heard of them before, i have absolutely no familirarity with anything other than Canon cameras, but my interest was peaked because they looked bigger and better quality than my Eos R. I picked one up and immediately noticed the weight difference. I slapped a lens on there and wow! - it looks amazing! After work last week I went straight home to watch some youtube videos and research the s1h so i could learn as much about it as quickly as possible. I am SHOCKED there's not 1, but 4 of them just being unused with so many lenses just sitting around them too!

Just saw that there is a company that is adding an OLPF/AA Filter Upgrade -it's KOLARI (reduce moire an aliasing) wich made the only valuable thing over not to switch to S5II (and this modification cost 600 $) So I would prefer to get S5II (better stabilisation, autofocus ) and do the modification instead of buying a used S1H
