just a wee pill bug on the move across the garage floor.

this is the first time I've seen anything like this. there are at least 100 Milkweed Tussock Moth caterpillars on this milkweed plant - they've eaten it down to the "bone". this is in my main Common Milkweed patch of about 50-60 plants. yay for pollinators! please like the video & subscribe for more nature videos from our 7-acre property we are rewilding in rural Ontario, Canada.

another lucky catch! I was out in the Common Milkweed patch and spotted this Paper Wasp eating a Virginia Ctenucha moth. absolutely fascinating. was happy to be able and sit and watch this Northern Flicker woodpecker dig for his breakfast yesterday morning. this is the first time I've seen them on the ground, and also the first time I've ever captured a photo and video of them! this video taken on 7-acre property in Clearview, Ontario in July 2024.
