all the comments on this page are excellent... I had one problem connecting to aws and it was fixed by choosing to have the address and an IP rather than a dns domain name... Was scratching my head for days over this... its a setting when launching an instance... keep an eye out for it.

Hey Ben I am sorry to bother, I've been trying to setup a perforce server for my friend and I but I can't figure it out. Even after watching this I thought I got it but it seems that I am missing something. If it wouldn't trouble you, would you be willing to communicate with me somehow on how to do it. I am at the step where you have to change putty to pscp and when I type the line correctly nothing happens....I just get a list of CMD commands for putty. I think it has something to do with the P4D that I downloaded (yes I did the same thing in the video got the linux server) I am stuck and I need help. Please, have a wonderful day!

If you create the tube and bow the center before carving it, you can completely bypass having to do any math to calculate the center width.

omg that's the most complicated way to uv a road that I've ever seen - other apps you just 'morph' the road straight, do the uv / texture work, then turn off the morph. Hopefully that would work in Houdini too? I'd hate to have to leave Houdini to uv stuff.
