This was R. T. É just trying to kill time. Big Tom was over the top by this time' but was probably still at it for the money. He should have been at home in his bed' instead of being pushed by the media at that time of the night. If it was any music dealing with rural culture' R. T É wouldn't support it at all.

I never even heard of Big Tom until about three weeks ago and now I listen to him every night.

The Irish are a great and kindly people...just observe the young people singing along with Big Tom, no boo's nor yawning...just utter respect for a talented old gentleman.

hurling has become a different game.....emphasis on rising the ball....ball in the hand...find your man..no wild puling overhead or on the ground......everyone wants to rise the ball so melees everywhere...the high catch is all important....hurling is safer now with the helmet and less swinging....so skilful now that a casual player can`t just join in....no older players now or unfit players...streamlined..a sameness has crept into the game....few really flair players nowadays.
