I think it'll be an interesting complicated relationship, im sure at some point you'll probably be at odds with each other, but she'll come around to whatever your side is before the end of the game. I dont want her to be bad either she already one of my favorites😢

I saw and am so happy! While I know in my heart that it’s Kaneko Satan and the fight will essentially be DDS2 Satan but slightly easier, I’m praying for Apocalypse Satan.

Reason why I concluded what I did about Yoko is that I always imagined her being the opposite of Panagia Tao. Tao had Light and Order, which was heal + Luster Candy + Dekunda Yoko’s unique skill (which I’m going to affectionately call Darkness and Chaos) would be, in my head, Energy Debilitate + Dekaja + IDK Random Ailment maybe???

Yeah it would be nice to have the whole family back together!

I am currently so certain she is amaterasu. She already uses fire magic so she fits the mold. Shoot allow us to choose between her and Tao depending on route. But that might be far too much lol.

I don't remember when and where it was mentioned, but most Japanese gods in the story have been slain during the 18 years of conflict, perhaps even before that. Amaterasu is nowhere to be found, instead, Tao is kind of a generic goddess who aids Bethel (which is an argument against her being Amaterasu in the first place).

I saw the list and am happy that 8-Press Ishtar is an achievement 😁. Skipped over most of them though because I didn’t want spoilers but now here’s hoping it’s Apocalypse Satan

@@ShionKenobi I’m actually very curious about that one because I assume he’ll be the final part of the Kinitsukami/4 Deva Questline that just kind of… ended in the base game.

That was my thought but it might be a bit more lenient where he’ll either allow Nulls but not Drains or Repels. Or he’ll just ban Null/Drain/Repel Physical

​@@jaffinator2166 i fought him on an emulator and beat him after 10 tries. He does use gaea rage if your whole party has an innate phys null/repel. I learned this when i died to that.

Khonsu having a full animated cutscene has me most intrigued. Which is why I’m positive that Fionn and Shiva will get similar treatment… maybe not Amanozako because the achievement list and Save Transfer Bonuses skip over her.

I bet each route starts with the cutscene where you can select either canon so it should be seamless from there.

Ok you want to talk completely shafted? Miyazu. Like, what was even the point if she’s just gonna be relegated to an endgame, unvoiced, side quest after disappearing for half the game.

I am positive and I WISH I could know how it happened so I can document it. I’ve had it happen a total of 3 times and all 3 times it was with Cerberus. My working theory is that Cerberus saw Demi Fiend was sealed, I accidentally awoke him (since Sleep is the most potent ailment on him) and used Mediarahan to compensate. It’s also like how Tsukiyomi and Trucifer have Diarama but it’s not listed in their skill list. I will test this at some point to see if it’s true Also fun fact, the first time I beat Demi-Fiend was before I was aware of how broken Accursed Poison was. But he still got sealed from a lucky roll on Zeus’s Madness Glint

Ok so here’s the story This was my first time editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and the volume controls weren’t like my previous editing software. So I adjusted the volume based on how it sounded with my headphones, which sounded fine. But apparently it did not sound good in other formats. But I’ll be testing volume before uploading my next video so this doesn’t happen again

I see what you’re saying, but also consider 1. Tao says the events of 5 happen 18 years after some catastrophe. 5 was released in 2021, 18 years after Nocturne’s initial release. 2. During the Summit, Koshimizu outright states the Conception happened. 3. Of course there wouldn’t be a mention of Nahobino in Nocturne because V was created well after the fact. 4. An interesting detail to note is that during the credits of V, Nahobino walks towards what seems to be a dormant Kagatsuchi. So who’s to say that, since Kagutsuchi is dead, the roles and responsibilities were passed onto Goko and then Nahobino uses said power to awaken Kagutsuchi and recreate the world? Admittedly that’s more speculation but a nice little theory. 5. Biggest piece of evidence. The Fiends, which are now explicitly canon thanks to VV.

@@jaffinator2166 the way in which you recreate the world is fundamentally different , the demi-fiends goal is to stop the cycle of creation so why didn't he destroy the throne, the conception isn't exclusive to nocturne, the fiends are also in 4a is 4a the same as nocturne?

@@oberon_relic1161 and Demi Fiend succeeded, hence why “Kagutsuchi” in the ending cutscene of V is dormant. And from what I’ve researched, the Conception, as it is specifically named, is exclusive to Nocturne and V. However, upon further research, there may be some discrepancies between the exact events of Nocturne and V. However that’s the beauty of the Multiverse (which yes does exist thanks to some exposition from the Lady in Black). This could be the same universe, or a parallel one where events played out slightly differently. Heck the Riders seem to even allude to this as they claim to be from another world. So in conclusion, would it not be true to say there would be a world where a Conception happens, a Demi-Fiend was born and the world is destroyed but saved at the last moment by Record Scratch? So I could be wrong or I could be right 🤷‍♂️ Also the only place I’ll say you’re wrong is with the Fiends. Unless there’s some piece of dialogue in IV or IVA I missed the fiends are just optional bosses and make no direct connections to Nocturne. It’s like saying the Jack Frost in Persona 5 is the exact same Jack Frost as in Devil Survivor. However something like Black Frost claiming to be the “Former Emperor of Kabukicho” or Mother Harlot comparing Nahobino to Demi Fiend is a deliberate callback as a link can be made.

You… may not get that exactly… but I can guarantee you some of the most fun and replayable gameplay in the entire Megaten series.

And why do you think that story has been at the forefront of Vengeance’s marketing? I touch on it in the video but take a look at some of the development interviews for Vengeance and you’ll see the staff actively admit the story was half baked and hope Vengeance corrects that. Whether or not it does, only time will tell.

@@jaffinator2166 oh I totally agree, if Vengeance manages to actually add a good story to the rest of V that will become the best RPG ever, everything was already 10/10. Here’s hoping they nail it.

And here I thought that they were going for a SMT III: Nocturne-like style of storytelling as opposed to SMT IV. Though as much as I liked the original SMT V, SMT III: Nocturne does it a bit better, mainly because Chiaki and Isamu’s development (even though the development happens off screen) made me go “what in the absolute hell?!”. Though I didn’t quite see that gradual change with Atsuta and Ichiro, not at first anyway until I really paid attention. Aogami made an interesting point when Ichiro was hesitant to fight and use the demon summoning program and how more the person uses the program, the more their mentality changes. And I was like “Is Atsuta already in that way of thinking before the game started?” hence his lack of screen time. I could be entirely wrong but that’s what I got out of it.

The UI is definitely a standout feature, along with how all the environments look. One of the best looking games on the Switch. It will also be very nice to play VV at 60FPS and higher resolution to appreciate it even more!

That it is. I really wish that in Vengeance, there will be more of an incentive to use other Magatsuhi skills besides Critical though. As I feel like, with maybe the exception of Accursed Poison, nothing really holds a candle to how amazing and essential Critical is.
