This is a very good presentation. But there is a slight error. You define W to be from i to f, where i is at infinity and there U is zero. As you bring a positive charge to a positive source, you are doing work to get the system to a final state of higher electric potential. And this is the source for the negative in front of the integral. But you have undone this by flipping the integration not from inf to R, but from R to inf. And thats a mistake. Its minor one and your explanation otherwise of this is one of the best, ive seen.
