Really neat and still useful to this day. The modern midrange case combines really haven’t changed a lot. Still lots of good info here.
Case didn't buy Steiger because the non articulated were selling. This didn't age well!!! Lol
Here’s a reality check. Deere done had the axle flow back in the 1950’s. That’s what Deere dubbed their prototype combine back at that point and time. Didn’t work for them but IH took the axle flow from them.
God i miss these, that tractor is like a core childhood memory good bad or ugly. Say what you will but they were the nicest looking unit of that era.
I've owned a Case 4890 since it was brand new in 1982. We're still using it, and it definitely has advantages over my articulate Case Steiger. It's always worked and is reliable. It'll turn twice as tight as my articulate. It works great in small and odd shaped fields...👨🌾 🚜
Now we know why case domineered the tractor market and deere fell by the wayside.
When was this ? Early 90’s?
Too bad that articulated tractor idea was bad...eh Case. Lol
This is a no-go for me... not 1 cup holder!
what percentage these models of JI case versus John Deere are still in the field.
I rode in a brand new 8100 when I was 6 years old, that cab was huge
Yeah he was really struggling to make case look "better" and i admit i love the real case tractors well built and built by experienced men. But god dam those were some of the greatest deere tractors ever made lol poor bastard was theowing anything he could think of hoping it would stick haha They were heavy, but theyre un-fckng stoppable, both literally and reliability wise...
You know you're the best when others compare themselves to you.
Better nice
Deere please
from the 1200 - 1470 TK - 70 -90 & 94 series tractors, case has always had rigid frame with it's unique steering which is why it is a better design than articulating tractors. Great video showing various situations where Case was superior.
I’m a Deere guy but pretty cool with a Cat 3306 engine
You can't compare Case to a John Deere the Deere is way Better tractors
What's up blazer !!😊
C an’t A fford S omething E lse
Lets see resale....and sales numbers........ exactly.
Better advetisment for DEERE than case....love the picture of the compaction....id like to see how they did that
40 some years later and we’ve never had to split ours. The ac doesn’t work anymore. We’ll time to go plug it in so I can feed
I got to the start where he lists the jd lineup. Wow that’s a tough fight. Those tractors were Bullit proof
There are some valid points there. The one shifter sucked compared to the thirty series. The lower windows were better in the older ones too. But I’ve drove both and you need weight to pull and the 4490 wasn’t heavy enough for heavy pulling. The articulation was hard on three point hitch plows. But we still have an 8650 on the cart. I bleed green so I guess we better stay with Deere
John deere is the best some stupid salesman who works for case he's clueless
Case was very deceptive when they call their scania engine a case diesel 'now the A504 was a real Case engine.
I've never wanted to shift so much
When we were young my cousin and I invented "command leg" controls to spoof this.. included it in all of our tractor drawing haha
Those tractors are garbage, but the color scheme was oh so good. They should've held on to that
Case was coping so hard. Lol versatile and stieger had them buried.
Hello. Thank you very much for the vidéo.👍👍👍👍
A lot of comments here are pro or con to other makes. Thats all and good, but you have to compare machines of the same current production. Of course an old model is not as efficient as the newer versions. I've had and worked on man y makes and models. a new rotor is better than an older IHC. likewise a new Gleaner would be better than any make's older offerings. But all combines are super high maintenance and will and do break down!, no matter the make.
sweet video
2290 and 2390 lots of rear-end trobles
Case has a way better hydraulic control than deere. Deere was okay but case was way better. Case transmissions do suck though, treat a case right youll go 12-15000hrs
Awesome
Great video. What is acceptable seed lost out the back of a case 1667. 6 m header. Yielding 6.5 mt per ha.
I have a 7120 and a 1660. The 1660 hands down is a way more reliable machine. Cant do the acres but always keeps going. The 7120 is a great combine but the macdon header is a pile of crap as far as I’m concerned
Are the international platforms made by macdon?
I have both articulated and 4 wheel steer and as much as i love the old 4494 the stx 450 is a much superior tractor being articulated
I didnt drive these exact models but did thousands of hours on JD4640 and Case 2390 from new. They both worked well though the cab on the Case was much quieter than the Deere.
STRAW WALKERS 4 LIFEEEEEEE .. CASE=JUNK
Why didn't they promote that in a month you can get this tractor in red.
You cant skip shift?
Do farmers in North America use front loaders? In Nordic countries front loaders are very common
There's a reason Deere is #1
John Deere best ever.
Wait did he say the deere is to front heavy and then later its to back heavy
When this guys parents got divorced they explained to him that it was in fact HIS FAULT.
Man Case and Allis had optional ground Radar since the 80s think deere was a little late to the game
....so did John Deere. please do some research.
