From Australia, I took my niece vehicle to Tottenham dealer, assessed but rejected they said it consistent with vehicle age 2009), disputed through J Richards (general manager) and after a month of email to and from then realised he didn't even email warranty department as they don't have any details of my dispute. Customer service or Tottenham dealer are all trying to bluff it off. Many people have the same problem here and had gone to our Current Affair show to go viral and now submitted the claim to VCAT, which is a tribunal, so am I Your information is certainly useful

I'm conviced there's still paint issues with the 2023 models. It seems like the paint chips so incredibly easily. I just noticed a big chip on my bumper where it looks like it's just flaking away. I threw some touch up paint on it. I once contacted the dealership about the paint chips. They told me there was nothing they could do even though I bought the protection plan.

I bought a 2011 Toyota Camry second hand and I started seeing yellow coming through the white paint and then chips and cracks where I could see metal. I got a letter saying to bring my car to a dealership to have Toyota paint my car. I did that, someone walked around my car and later told me that they weren't gonna paint my car and it's only getting worse and it looks horrible.

My 2017 Toyota Tacoma has this issue and I got a notice in the mail around six months ago saying it will be covered. A month ago I went to a Toyota dealership and they acknowledged that the paint was pealing and did a thural inspection of vehicle taking picture and told me it should not be long until the Tacoma will be included in the recall. I called the dealership last week and they told me call back in a few weeks and it should be a pproved by then.

One thing that will help mustang is the box not just a jl box but a box that compliments his space. The ho box is best for universal space. Even you can benefit with a box that takes your cabin space in mind also port direction. Think it's high output but from seat or position gets the best sound I completely custom box will help with that

Rear speakers firing backwards talk about phase issues. All you need is the ones up front especially if you going for that level of sound quality with JL. 2.1 left and right. It make more sense arva 4.1 to have rears

My 2012 Scion was painted under this warranty in the CHEAPEST possible way! Dissatisfied, I told Toyota that the company did a SHITTY job and i will be back (even with their lifetime guaranty) ! LESS than a year later, paint peeled and when I went back, they claim it been scratched and TOTALLY denying any responsibility - BOTH Toyota dealership and the shitty body shop they contract!!! What else can be done!?!? FRUSTRATED!!!!

The reason the mustang rattles more than the lexus is because one is a mustang and one is a lexus, also the station wagon helps reduce pressure build up in the trunk vs a fully enclosed small trunk which will rattle more all else being equal.

COMPACITOR 🤣 beautiful kit, the slash series amps are probably the best amps jl ever made, despite them being some of the oldest (well early 2000s.)they look gorgeous in black much nicer than the silver versions. I have the the jl HD SERIES AMPS 2 x 1200 W monos and 2 x 600.4! 1 of the hd 1200.1 is out of commission for now cos my dumb ass either didn't plug the power socket in proper or it might of come loose either way I melted the power input terminal and damaged it luckily the tech guy from the local distributor had one that wasn't getting repaired he gave me for parts so it will be back in action soon as spare, I'm not doing spl now much myself and more sq so one and the 13w7 is plenty and too much sometimes when run at 0db gain or same as the other channels and its a sealed box atm too, crazy output these subs but im running the other 3 amps full active with a zapco 16 channel DSP 13w7 in home made sealed box atm need someone else to build me a custom one as I'm shit at any fabrication and bitch ply is super expensive where I live, just the timber cost 200 bucks and i kinda stuffed it but it's holding up ok till I get a new one made.

We have a 2016 Tacoma super white with the same problem. After receiving a document saying they know we have this problem we were told to take into the dealer to have it checked. We had to go to 2 different places the second one said yes it’s really bad . Now Toyota has been getting us the run around for 4 years nothing being done other than they don’t have a fix yet for the problem. Fast forward today and the truck is now rusting in many places. What can I do to force them to fix this??

Great video! My first W7 was a 12! I actually replaced two Pioneer IMPP 15's with a single 12W7. However, there was a catch- The 15's were in a sealed enclosure and the only way the 12W7 could beat the 15's was in a ported enclosure. Back in 2002, I was very impressed. So impressed, that I continued using W7's for 22 years. I had five 12's, three 10's, two 13.5's, and two 8W7's. I have to say my favorite was running a single 13W7 as far as box size to output goes. I went back and forth from ported to sealed and back. I really prefer the sealed sound over the ported, but you need a lot of power and multiple drivers to really have fun. The H.O. enclosures are really amazing for what they are, but if you listen to a wide variety of music as I do, sealed is the only way. I ended up doing a pair of Stereo Integrity SQL-15's in a 4.2 cu. ft. sealed box on a true 3,000 watts and I can say the two 15's sealed beat a single 13W7 sealed AND ported hands down. CONE AREA IS KING. Also, historically - SEALED is the most accurate way to go. My 15's play a wider bandwidth that is also flatter than any ported W7. The only thing that came close to my 15's were a pair of 12W7's in a ported enclosure, and even then - the 12W7's wouldn't play as low as the 15's sealed. It's physics. All I can say, is that I've never been happier! FYI: When I bought my 15's, they were only $50.00 more than a SINGLE 8W7. Right now, the pair would be $50.00 cheaper than a single 10W7. Let that sink in. I DARE YOU TO TRY STEREO INTEGRITY! JL has become way too proud and too greedy. It's quite sad.

With Toyota Chechstream on a Windows XP laptop or a diagnostic tool compatible with the car, you can change the behaviour of the sunroof. It comes in the sliding mode from factory, and what I did both in the LS400 and LS430 is to activate the tilt mode when holding the open button on the fob. I also disabled the auto tilt away of the steering column when swithing off the engine, because the tilting mechanism usually breaks when using it too much. I also activated a feature to lock and unlock all doors automatically when the transmision lever is in D and P. It can be changed to only unlock the drivers door, all 4 doors or no doors. There are some other features I customized that I can't remember.

I'm an audio engineer and producer.. I've owned 3 W7s in my life in two different environments. Car and Studio! I haven't had a car for 10 years, but when I did and was into car--stereo I upgraded everything over and over again, eventually getting Diamond Hex front speakers and DLS 7x10s in the rear. I went through Soundstream 10", JL W3 12", Diamond Audio D12..I never upgraded my sub after I got the W7 - I never found a better sounding speaker in my life. I also spent a fortune on 'whisper wall' (same as Dynamat) which was an adhesive sound deadening material that I put inside every surface in the car so you couldn't hear the engine or the road while driving, just the music. It was lovely. Road noise gives me a headache after a while, much prefer as much of it as possible removed. It was so good in fact - that I bought two JL Audio Fathom 12 inch speakers for my music studio (stereo bass) total overkill, but it's completely immersive and sounds unreal.. and one the hardest areas to mix when making records is the low end - so I can hear exactly what's going on down there and mix it perfectly every time... and, enjoying being "inside" the bass while I do it! Anyway - from what I understand, the W7 was designed to function perfectly in ported and sealed boxes - the reason for porting is that you can 'tune' the box go give a frequency response bump at certain frequencies if you want lower extension. But for sound quality and 'flatness' in its response. Sealed is better (in my opinion). I build all my own boxes anyway and used. Also, the way you walk about the difference between the 10 and 12 as if the 12 hits harder is completely false. They're the same woofer, the 12 just moves more air for more SPL. 12 still extends into low mids, unless you're using a cutoff filter. I set mine to 80hz on the W7, I had 4 x 6 inch woofers and the 2 x 10 x 9 DLS rear speakers, so was covered just fine for all frequencies. With that configuration, I won two competitions for SQ (sound quality) I never entered any sound pressure level competitions (SPL) because I didn't want a car that sounded like that. Some of them were INSANE. World record is something like 185.4dB (last I checked). That'll kill you if you're inside! 😂 The 8W7 extends slightly better into the low mids, if you wanted to make sure all the range is covered from your 6" mid front speakers. But if you design your system right, you should have all frequencies covered evenly. There is NOTHING worse than idiots that buy huge woofers and have screaming awful tinny high frequencies distorting and squealing up front.. Music should be reproduced across the frequency range, not just 60hz and 10k... ouch.. Sounds horrible, no matter how good your sub is on its own. If anyone cares - I ran it all from a Nakamichi head unit. It did NOTHING but play music. Incredible DAC in it. Cost a fortune, but I heard the difference from exen the top end Sony and Alpine offerings. Had a cable that came out near the cupholders for running lossless audio into it. I'm not going to argue with anyone about high end subwoofers and sound quality or whats better. It gets personal and subjective at a certain point and I love the JL sound. Even their W3 was a fantastic budget woofer that played notes that I never heard on other subs.

W7s absolutely can go in sealed boxes lol. In fact they sell them that way from the factory.
