Oh my. I love my tall shutters. I did not want them when i bought my house. They were here. But i have grown to love them. My ceilings are high. Every morning at 7:00am i open them across the front of the house. I close them at twilight. It is a ritual now. The back of the house has curtains which i want to replace. That is why i clicked on your video. Thanks for the great tips.

Tissue boxes are confounding to me. Maybe those designs work for the ones we send to classrooms but otherwise I ponder the thought process that produced those boxes 😂

I’m kind of thinking about all the silver and crystal I got rid of. I move a lot at this point in my life which is one of my luxuries so considering how to marry having less stuff with special items like those you mention. I do a lot of editing each time I move which is also cleansing as well as giving a feeling of ’lightness’ in my life

I moved into a house that has the same big white blinds on every window. While they are nice, I found myself wanting to take all of them down. Thank you for making me not feel crazy. I think fabric makes a house feel more comfortable. Little by little, I am hanging curtains, but nothing in the house is standard size, ceilings and windows are large. Can you do a video on choosing a curtain rod? Is color just a personal preference?

I am very intrigued by her “futuristic” chandelier, which is a masterful “quiet” statement. It just blends in because of its color, and then you focus on it, and you see how interesting the form is. I would also LOVE to have wallpaper like that in my dining room! Such a dream!

Hi Miriam, this was so helpful as well as being easy to understand. I wonder if you could also cover curtain rods in another video. I am going to use full width lined pinch pleat curtains in living room and dining room (all one big long room) and am searching for my best options for rods that are NOT extendable.

What about the cornice? You didn’t cover that. What’s the rule of thumb for their use?
