It was a lot of fun! 😂 I'm surprised I rounded up some of the roosters, but I was leaving "Big Boy" for hubby! Thank you for the encouragement - it's a lot to learn, but I am enjoying it so much. I wish we would have done this years ago when we were much younger, but it keeps us young in a sense. We do love all of our critters ❤️ We look at each one as a blessing and so thankful to have them. We think that's what happened - it's the only conclusion we can come too. I just hate we didn't see or hear anything.

My thoughts exactly! 😂 They love it! It was nice to give them some extra space. I had to chuckle when I saw everything Bill used for nesting boxes. He comes up with some pretty neat ideas!

She was full of it, wasn't she!!?? I didn't think I was going to be able to get her. She ended up going in the big nesting box and I cornered her in and got her. But she's loving her new space now! Bet she wouldn't have acted like that if she knew beforehand where she'd end up 😂 So, I'm going with that name and start calling her Myrtle - you named one of the chickens! ❤️🤗

@@CelebratingFarmLife handling chickens and roosters can be scary. It always throws me off because I feel they are very fragile and I'm afraid to pick them up.

The hens I'm getting used to - I always try to pick them up without harming them. The roosters, now that's a different story - I'm always worried about them spurring me.

Hey there! Thank you for the information. We took a picture to our local hardware store and were told they were Japanese Beatles. We did end up spraying and got rid of most, but noticed there were still a few when we went to do the video. This might be something else that came in after them or we were told wrong. But we will stay on top of it and hopefully get rid of them/and or both if that's the case. Sorry to hear about your problem with them. They are definitely a nuisance. This is why we love getting comments from our viewers - we learn so much from each other! We've never had a problem like this before, so this has been new for us. Thank you again for sharing this information not only for us, but others watching as well.

Sometimes you just can't beat a simple PP&J sandwich 😃 "Hubby" loves jelly - he gets big spoonful's and puts it on his plate. Since I started canning our jelly, I won't eat store bought. I was excited to finally make Bill some homemade fig - that's his favorite!

That is nice that you did that for your church. I can't imagine how hard it must be for anyone with a hearing impediment.
