Thank you so much This video is so well done from explanation & demonstration to the excellent camera work. I have a 6month old cavalier-poodle cross. He has not developed an undercoat at this stage but he is furnished like a long silky coated cavalier . I groomed my previous Bichon Frisée for the 15 years of her life but had no idea how to even start with my glorious soft wavy haired puppy. I’ve learnt so much & know I will be revisiting this beautiful video often. ❤

The shampoo that work my dog Pomeranian was 4pets I waited a long time but it happened 🙌🏼 for $35.00, Iam still use it on my dog, I had to try before taking the dog to a vet a waist a lot of money, Iam happy with the results

I only bathe my dog, hmm you put cotton balls in the dogs ears?! First time I heard this . Hmm imma do some more research, and may consider trying this. I do have Happy Hoodie, but do feel like my dog needs more sound dampening. Especially, when I am doing my dog’s head, and have to remove the Happy Hoodie to blow dry her head-I feel bad because I can’t help with noise.

i have been trying for the longest time to get hired as a dog bather! because my understanding is that it is the best way to get to become a groomer. i finally decided to teach myself! even though i would much rather receive training. oh, and i know about all the schools too, just can't afford it at the moment. but i'm going to get what i guess is the grooming bible: notes from the grooming table. i'm gradually purchasing my tools and supplies too. i will have the opportunity to work on a few dogs since i do some dog walking too. if anyone has a word of advice regarding this, i would be grateful. 💗💗🐾🐾

Dog bather here! Been at my job 6 months and want to do better with quality and time management. I work at Petsmart so we average a dog per hour and I want to increase my amount of dogs per shift. I struggle with nail trimming and dremmling at a consistent spend. I usually spend about 15 minutes on a dogs nails when the expectation is to spend 5-10 minutes. I rarely, if ever, hit their quicks and thats something im very proud of. (Obviously depending on the dog and how they handle nail trimming)

I had my dog neutered and also gave him Omega 3 and vitamin D. I also made sure that my dog got more exercise. I also stopped giving my dog water from the tap because it can be contaminated with hormone residues. I have given her non-carbonated mineral water. I also stopped having her hair cut. Her coat has grown back completely.

Looks like my 10 month old Cavalier girl! How do you keep her coat shiny? I took her to a groomer that has certification by AKC board for a simple shampoo and a little nail clip plus light trim between paw pads, keeping her grinch feet and absolutely nothing else. She went in with a shiny coat and was still damp. (They didn’t want to traumatize her with the blower.) her coat is extremely dull. Her ears and head are glossy and shiny but the rest is not a month later. I use a boar bristle brush every two days to help her tame her coat and distribute natural oils but, I’ve yet to see her sheen return. Please advise

You are definitely a gentle groomer! The Sanitary trim: OMGosh! I'll never forget the one time I took my Cava/Chin to a local (small town) groomer. He came out looking like a bare a$$ baboon! She shaved him from belly all the way up to his butt! It took FOREVER to grow back!

Great video! I especially like the explanation on the nail trimming! I always looked for the pink/white area and aimed for getting close. Regarding the stripping blade - I saw another video where they "card" the undercoat. What are your thoughts on carding? Have you used this method on a CKCS?

I appreciate you explaining about the issues on how some groomers can be rough, however you are not. You also gave indicators if a dog was being hurt. Crying, running away and barking. All the dogs seem like they feel as comfortable as one could be under the grooming conditions. Thank you for truly caring for our fur babies.
