I love the animation. I'm enjoying seeing the progression of your art with animation.

I respect a lot of people's opinion but to me Doctor Who died the day Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat left. To me it became a completely different show after they left. It doesn't even feel like doctor who anymore.

Enjoyable video, thanks for putting your thoughts out there. For me the writing fell flat since Chibnall with Jodie. Chibnall and RTD focused on politics first , story second. When they should be skilled enough to deliver any messages as a matter of course, with panache, and not need to lecture the audience. Its not just less screen-time for Ncuti - He is no longer the hero. Episode 1 - NannE Saves the day from the bogeyman - b4 Doctor changes his mind which isn't explained. Episode 2 - The Beatles save the day Episode 3 - The AI saves the day Episode 4 - Ruby saves the day Episode 5 - No one saves the day. All 5 episodes include parents abandoning children in some fashion. No one cares about the Doctors orientation, or Ethnicity, we care about decent writing and character driven plots that stick to or write sci-fi rules. this season has given us none of that. I'm hoping this is all a fever dream for the Doctor and RTD will make a better effort in the next season.

Yeah we know he's a good actor with a lot of range right, we need like an episode equivalent to 'Midnight' from series 4, gimme some serious stakes and a dilemma where the Doctor gets to be the Doctor

This is some Spike Lee - Bamboolzed shyte...all the stuff that he interrogated and critiqued in his great work a generation ago now. Clearly, Black folks / the voices actors behind it have learned Nothing otherwise we wouldn't lending our creative talents in "endorsing it". Give it💩💩💩.

Every time they remake an old black show, I stay away. I never watched the new Fresh Prince, the new Coming to America, Good times or anything else. The time came and went for certain things. Whats next? Roots?

These are great tips. I think there’s truth in having an art block, but as you discussed in the video, an underlying issue could be addressed. My art block is usually caused by not being educated enough, especially when it comes down to actually drawing the things I envision.

This is such a great discussion of the topic. I think part of the reason people refuse to acknowledge art block is that people build it up as insurmountable in their minds, and if they admit to having art block it becomes something they actually have to deal with? It's hard to acknowledge that you're struggling creatively or it is for me at least haha. I really needed to see this video lately, thanks for posting great content as always!

Yall missed the point of the show. It taught and shedded light on a lot of issues in the black community especially the ones in poverty. And even gave history on certain aspects of why things are the way they are. Basically satire

So many shows these days have what I call "XBox Kid Syndrome", where they're desperate to prove they're one of the 'big kids' so they say and do all this edgy crap that makes them look like a fool instead of just being themselves and seeing if it works.

I'm white & the takeaways I got from this show were: poor dishevelled black family, drug dealing baby, chicken superhero, gangs & shooting, subtext slavery from white billionaires (Elon & co) & dancing with roaches? I mean, there first mistake was probably hiring Seth McFarlane. Have you NEVER watched any of Family Guy & black people's treatment in that? The Cleveland Show was cancelled after a couple of seasons too so that's not a good achievement either. Great video.

This adaptation is so disappointing because you KNOW that if they had the right people it could’ve turned out great. Hell, I would’ve been happier if they just animated over the original audio.

The original was so aspirational and focused on family love and community. This reboot is the worst type of racism of low expectations

The show was surprising good. Idk what yall talking about. Had a lot of good messages in it. Y’all hate on this show talking about racist stereotypes when tubi is full of movies with racist stereotypes. But it’s ok when we portray our own stereotypes. Damn near 90% of black movies in tv shows has a drug dealer in there. Dave Chappelle made a drug dealing baby in the hood joke 20 years ago. Most black people claim they’re from the projects. This was a modern day good times.
