I had a 70's Schwinn Cruiser.. I absolutely adored that bike and wouldn't let it out of my sight. I kept it immaculate.. When all of my friend's bikes got stolen, I was able to keep mine. When I graduated high-school and started driving, I kept my bike safe in my room. My brother took my beautiful bike and sold it in the 80's for $30 without my permission.. Today, I have a collection of 5-SPEED Schwinn Cruisers and 20" bikes. Maybe one day I'll find my beautiful 70's Schwinn Cruiser.

A balled-up piece of aluminum foil will allow you to clean your chrome of some of that rust.

Do you sell those cool colored tires?

I have a 1964 violet , Sting ray; a black Ramshorn ; an Orange Krate ; a blue 5 speed sting ray and a ; japan sting ray dark violet.... All but the last are original mine since new

Poor Huffy “off brand” I think Huffy beat Schwinn by a little to make the “muscle” style of bike with the high rise bars. Ross did it best in my opinion! Awesome Collection!

Front and rear fenders are crimped not rounded all the frame tubes are sleeved

Does not have a lowrider suspension in front does have a y-shaped kickstand

Maybe you can answer a question who made a cougar stick shift x500 with a t-shaped shifter and a Archer 3-speed rear hub

a really downside to the gaming generation is that they don't know the fun of playing outside, riding bikes and just plain racing, jumping and skidding to see who had the best bike in the neighborhood. I had a schwinn fairlady,, which was the girls stingray but for girls and let me tell you that bike was the boss. My love of bikes goes back to that one.

You traded a Schwinn Corvette or a Chevrolet Corvette...? :) Awesome collection... You could open a musuem...! When I was a kid I thought those 5 speed stick shifts were so cool. Never had one though, but did put a banana seat on my 24" Typhoon, and so sort of made my own :)

My Pea Picker got stolen. Some jealous punk kid in the neighborhood. My brother and I played football on the late 60's and early 70's, we were LOOKING for the punks who did it. They took it out of the neighborhood. Never saw it again . LOL By the way all the people here are about the same age 10 yo in 1970. Can't believe I am in my 60's. 197o was a decent year,( my folks hadn't got divorced yet. ( You never get over it). Well that's life 😐

Alaways wanted the the 5 speed Krate. Parents got me a metallic purple 5 speed Murray Eliminator back in 70 or 71 instead. It was cool. Just not a Schwinn.
