On my Comic Book wall in my Man Cave I have the amazing Spider-Man #252 Marvel Team Up Secret Wars #8 Web of Spider-Man #1 the amazing Spider-Man #298 the amazing Spider-Man #299 the amazing Spider-Man #300 the amazing Spider-Man #316 the amazing Spider-Man #361 the amazing Spider-Man #362 the amazing Spider-Man #363 having all of those on my comic book wall is awesome it took a few years to acquire all of them but it was worth it

52 was an awesome character. He was very powerful and did not hold back. He is one of the best looking, too.

For the younger collectors out there it's worth noting that while the secret wars issue is the first time Peter gets the alien suit within the story continuity, it is not the first published appearance of the suit. Amazing Spiderman 252 (along with Spectacular Spiderman 90 and Marvel Team Up 141) came out earlier that year and debuted the new black costume. The origin wasn't revealed until later that year when the Secret Wars issue finally came out. If you're looking for the bell tower scene, which was somewhat replicated in the Spiderman 3 movie, that occurs in Web of Spiderman 1. Peter does use a replica, normal costume that looks like the symbiote suit in several issues, so not every appearance of him in a black suit is the alien symbiote.

So glad there are people like you keeping things in order these kids now adays don't understand the continuity resets an just assume anything super man is the same guy drawing and writing the story and they all aren't knowing that nw 52 ended wonder comics or even know anything about the rebirth hopefully one the movie finally adapts everything we will finally put the debates to rest

I enjoyed the video. You’re saying the silver age started prior to the comic code? Respectfully, I think most would disagree. If anything the strong majority would call this the Atomic Age. I mean you were certainly confident in the information you delivered, so it is somewhat convincing. However, I don’t think many would agree with your timeline. With that said, a conversation about comics and history is always more interesting than any other topic. I appreciate the video. Very well made.

I tend to agree with those who say the Golden Age ended with the creation of the Comics Code as well as the closing of several publishers in 1955! Up to the senate hearings, regardless of genre, the industry thrived!

The bronze age was nothing less than a fascinating period of marvel history starting with the addition of Black widow to Daredevil the addition to falcon to Captain America the addition to Ant-Man to iron Man sending the X-Men into reprints forces me to believe that Jack Kirby's leaving could have not been more poorly timed probably one of the most fascinating aspects is the encapsulated covers where they isolated the title from the image probably an effort to boost recognition. Again a fascinating period in marvel history
