The cv joint broke the intermediate shaft right where the retaining clip would go on side of differential. The other half is stuck inside the cv joint cup. I have a new axle joint to put in but have tried a lot of things to get the broken piece out of the differential and it will not budge or let loose to come out. What could be holding it. The truck was running fine and I came onto a bridge and the divider strip going clear across the bridge is ruff and when I went over it at about 43 miles per hour the clunk and bonk came, I pulled over and that is what had happened as the cup end of the cv joint was hanging in the air. I could drive it on home so said a prayer and drove to my driveway. I really need my truck right now but seems to be at a standstill.

Pulley was removed before hand. You'd never take a crank Pulley off by hand. 98% of the time you need the Pulley removal tool. Plus work smarter not harder lock you in somewhere once you figure out correct rotation to losen and crank that bitch a couple times.

There are holes or a hole in the flywheel where it, the flywheel can be locked in place pacifically for this reason.

I have an 2008 with an oil leak and the belt, and everything on passenger side of engine is just filled with oil... I need to get me atleast 4 cans of the break clean to clean it off and maybe ill find where the leak is coming from.

Good ideas! I was having a heck of a time with my crankshaft bolt and I used my jack handle over my 1/2" breaker bar and just give it all you got and she'll start cracking. Had to Crack it around 5-7 times before it would loosen, craziness.

Check the main crank shaft seal also called front main seal that is under the belt pulley, it is repeated issue that the seal sucks in the belt and damages it. Check with client if he had the belt replaced recently. My car needed to change the front main seal because a month ago the belt had gotten sucked in and damaged.
