Personally I found that most of the times, the optical flow slow motion gives better results than the learning machine one.

Just recently got the latest version and something seems to be missing. When I’m scrubbing through frame by frame I can no longer hear when audio starts to kick in. Scrubbing seems to have no audio anymore. Is there a switch I need to toggle on

for those who have a red missing icon in the Title/Effects Browser and in the Viewer of FCPX instead of working plugins - it's because your FCPX is older than the version for which this plugins were made. Yeh it’s soooo true, that FCP has no Ai caption generator as seen in here is baffling to say the least. I’ve been using CC option and Captionator, Great Video here as usual ! thanks !!

Looking for this answer as well
I wouldn’t recommend importing horizontal video to Instagram because it will not fill up the whole screen. But If you are referring to horizontal videos where you can turn the phone left or right to watch it then I would still edit in a 1080x1920 project and then rotate the video 90 degree or -90 degree and then export it. Once you post it on instagram the viewers can either thrum their phone to the right or to the left to watch the video horizontally. Let me know if I got your question right

FCP still competitive and reliable. I agree, when compared with its competitor, the FCP's update pace is the worst in its product category. But Premiere is far from stability and speed. Even davinci resolve is not reliable at all. Obviously, I want features that are basic today as auto-captions, text based editing, and many others. Yes, I'm jealous with DaVinci resolve and even Capcut. But I still believe in Apple's way of doing things!
Absolutely! FCP is still my preferred NLE as well because of stability and speed. But sometimes I’m just wondering where they’re going with this. The new updates are cool but not major.

This is not unheard of from Apple. Years ago I used to edit photos in Apples editing software called Aperture exclusively, then one day they just stopped supporting it and it was gone. I had to switch to Lightroom, not a big deal but it is frustrating to have to learn a new software that interrupts your workflow.
