Fun fact: Dual wielding has been used before, but they used only 1 sword while the other was a short dagger made to deflect attacks if you couldn’t carry around a shield for some reason.

What build you runnin to get this much stamina

Keep in mind that hitting harder and especially hitting faster does matter for, e.g. cuts to a gambeson or other solid object. Swords cut through meat really well at any non-negligible speed or force, but they don't necessarily cut through fibrous material or keratinized material or similar things as well.

I do love me a good niche tecnique because sometimes it works for people who can't do the more effective ones. Like reverse grip, which is usually impractical because of the lower range and coverage, i might still use on a offhand parrying weapon, even if it gibes me less protection, because it lowers my risk of injuring my fragile wrists when parrying a stronger opponent. Are there better options, like switching to a Longsword, or better yet, my beloved spear, yes. But if it's the gear you stuck with then suboptimal tecniques can work in a pinch.

Hey few counters - in this vid your opponents were just holding their weapon when you attacked back, if it was for real they would move, they would raise hand. or adjusted their position/stance to block or counterattack, so your point isnt as convincing as you think. But anyw i get what point you making they are many "moves" that looks cool but techn. are pretty stupid. Still even in real fight i can see master swordsman doing "flashy" moves under specif. condition. Lets say he see his enemy is arrogant rookie so to teach him lesson, or humiliate him master delib. uses some cool flashy move just to make point, or he is just showing off. Even master is still human and somet. makes choices/moves outside of perfect technique handbook.

My great uncle fought in Vietnam and he said he was in like a double story hut kind of building deep in the jungles with like 5 other guys and they had ended a bunch of fighters lives the night before. Anyways he said in the dead of night a woman with two short blades snuck in and killed two of his guys and they only woke up because one of them tried to shoot her. They go running downstairs and they have rifles drawn but they are single file when they come across her she rushed the first guy slapped his rifle and held it up with ine blade and gutted him like 7 8 times and dropped him then my uncle and the other guy that was with him just gunned her down when she tried to rush them. Everytime I see him he tells me this story and gets up and reenacts the whole thing sweating and tripping over his words and all like he's back in it all over again. it's something I think about often as well especially when watching movies and videos like these. He said she was crying so it just makes me sad and respect her for fighting so hard. Even my uncle seems to have this admiration of her when he tells the story but it also is the reason he wandered off in the jungle and got discharged because of his mental state after.

I dont know the name, and its more like a double ended glaive/long bladed spear than a double bladed sword, with the haft being about the same length as both blades combined (so its 1/4 blade, 2/4 haft, 1/4 blade), but a similar double ended stabby/slashy weapon does exist and actually works fairly well, though not as well as a single ended quarter-spear😅
