The thing that makes me tick in the west end version is the complete ignorance considering the overall themes of the musical. In the final song (seventeen reprise) the original Off-Broadway versions lyrics are: "One day we'll change the world, but lets kick back tonight." MEANWHILE in the west end version: "one day we'll change the world, SO WHY NOT START TONIGHT." Now at first that might not seem like an issue, BUT wjen you start to think about it, it just ruins the messages of the original. In the og, they use this lyric to convey the message that you don't need to make a big change right now, you're still a teenager, so just live your life. (This theme also ties into JD being obsessed with trying to "fix" Westerberg by killing all of the "bad" students.) It's such a unique and original message that you never hear today. Then there's the west end.... Saying the same old "wE CaN mAkE A dIfFeReNcE!¡!" Theme, which don't get me wrong, isn't a necessarily BAD message, but it's overdone. Especially with everything else that happens in this musical, this message change is idiotic and honestly ruins the musical. You don't NEED to change the world, especially when you're still young. Just live your life and don't hurt others!! I really don't like the west end musical because of this. (And the other reasons you mentioned as well.) I say no is probably the only OKAY thing to come out of it. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

From what I can hear Sohyang uses more chord connection in her head voice, and Ariana go more breathy, but from B5 and on there's not much difference, and that E6 from Sohyang sounded not so confortable for her, not a thing of range, but probably a bridge issue. I would say some of the notes from Sohyang sound very similar to Ariana, so probably someone would say both used falseto.

how free she is doing all the this. keeping a stable vibrato even while going through different riffs and tone changes... it's like she's a electrical instrument, you can change a parameter without affecting other parameters. (changing volume or sound signature(tone) doesn't affect pitch or vibrato ) this is peak human level. but I'm sure she will upgrade even more next time we listen to her again.
