I get that hes Christian and wants to promote his spirituality, but I thought this page was for black experience in japan. And I noticed he already has a religion channel where he uploads this content so why bring it here. Ive been such a huge fan of this channel but the inconsistency has been a real drag. Literally have to watch 3 year old videos overr and over. Hoping you get back to the interviews about life in japan and leave the religion stuff on your channel for people that are looking for that kind of content.

I prefer testimony's over anything else, it really helps give people a perspective and give God a chance ... at least that's what I believe. He has a very real perspective of how things go with A LOT of us. We go to GOD ... we leave ... we go to GOD ... we leave... then we just give up, but if you continue to fight and believe in him it'll all work out no matter how much you've done, what you've done, you can always lean on God.

God is good! I attend a Japanese church with my Japanese girlfriend and kids. I lived in Japan a few years and was buhddist. I was raised Christian but I found buddah when I visited Yoyogi temple. Cmae back home and found jesus again when I met Alisa. Our minister Akikio is amazing and this made my day. Going to show her this.

I'm just curious but when I was in Japan back in the sixties it was not cool to be un Japanese. I met a girl that was part Japanese and she explained to me why. I guess it's basically the same in any country. There are a lot people who will not accept you. I'm just wondering why the interest all of a sudden.

The mindset and way of dealing with people as he is discussing in this video is not exclusive to Japan. As an American living in America or just being a human of any race or culture living anywhere in the world, there will be times that you will interact with people who have a bad attitude or not be pleasant or welcoming. But as he said, it's all about how you respond and handle the situation. The world is not a perfect place. You just have to do your best to make the best of every situation you find yourself in.

As many whites, if not more, were enslaved by Muslims of North Africa than enslaved blacks were brought to America. Blacks were enslaved by other blacks. My opinion as someone who lived in Japan for 17 years. Your video is very spot on, by the way.. We should above all know first and foremost that a monolithic society like Japan's is the best. What is so great about diversity? I really don't care if at times I am not let into a place of business, which I think only happened once in 17 years.. I just move on. No problem. Yes, also many rules, but the country is so organized unlike the hodge podge sense of America with, in particular, political and racial tensions so high as to be unbearable at times. Japan is so safe, too.. Number 1 of importance to me. Best food in the world, too. Easy to find a job. I am very individualistic and can live happily there even with only one true Japanese friend. Don't bother me and I won't bother you. Perfect for me and my lifestyle.

(lived in Tokyo for five years) Agree and disagree. Within my first week I realized that it would be exhaustive to constantly compare Japan to the US; I found it easier to forget everything I knew and experience everything "as-is". I noticed that older people were stand-offish, but younger people were more accepting and almost fascinated. I dated a Japanese national, which greatly expanded the friend circle and general level of acceptance. Also, speaking the language prompts a great deal of enthusiasm. On the other hand a toddler (with her grandmother) pointed at me and called me "idiot". I was once performing guitar and this old man stared at me from three feet away for ten minutes, trying to ascertain if I was actually playing, was pretty comical haha!. Generally speaking, my overall experience was positive and if given the opportunity to go back, I would in a heartbeat!
