If your aim of putting your hair in a protective style is to reduce the rate at which you manipulate your hair and retain length then I don’t think bun is a great idea. Because you will constantly style it to keep it neat and during wash days you will have to take the whole hair down and manipulate. But in braids and twists you can wash and deep condition without taking them down. Hope this helps?

I spray it every night with a refresher. And I oil my scalp every other night. This is going on my second month without taking it down. Do you think this is a good protective hairstyle?
