I enjoyed part 2. The anticipation was worth it. Nic and Luke brought them to life beautifully. Luke in particular flexed his incredible acting skills. I did spy that Colin fantasized about Pens breasts but failed to touch them or compliment them. I can only assume Nic might had not been comfortable with that approach which I respect. Can't wait to see more of the actors in future projects.

I don’t expect everyone to love everything, but as a fan some of the really hateful takes on this season have felt personally wounding (weird, I know; I’ll get over it). Us humans do not enjoy great change…..we adapt to a certain degree, however sudden uncomfortable changes….we do not like. I too have many gay friends and do not have trouble with same sex interests. What concerns me is every commercial, every show, somehow it is pushed into our face to watch it and accept it…..if you are a book lover, then you are to a degree comfortable watching a show that follows to a degree, your favourite stories…when it is dramatically changed…..well……poof!!!…the magic spell is broken and many will be too sad to consider watching the following seasons….bad decisions from producers unfortunately.

Francesca story is one of my favorites and the fact that they made it seem like she's not in love with John is such a disservice to the books and characters. They were a love match and she suffered so much after he died, they could've had a such a great story and make it parallels to violet who had a loved match and then he died and now she's unexpectedly found love again. Netflix keeps doing this to great shows, I don't know if it's Netflix itself or the producers that are taking great stories and projecting themselves in them They did it with the Witcher and I'm not watching the last season I refuse. It's my protest. I feel like it's gonna be the same with Bridgerton. I'm gonna have to protest not watching it. Also the lack of Penelope and Colin in their season speaks to the lack of faith the producers had for a plus size heron. This is why they inserted so much Francesca, and so many subplots that did not matter to the entire story. Netflix does not know their fans.

I wish the Mondrich story had more purpose. Maybe if they'd made their kids older and Hyacinth and Gregorys age range they could've had one of the kids renamed and reworked to be either of their book love interests with a different last name. Or just give us a healthy POC couple in those families, since from what many people have said, thats why they're more included. But they needed to have some throughline connector into the next seasons to make following them so heavily worthwhile. Otherwise its empty. Benedict's storyline was given more focus than it needed and I feel it doesn't actually contribute anything to his own future story or development. We already knew he was noncommittal! I know its a continuation from whats been set up but they shouldve confirmed that in seasons prior or just done it in part 1. We didn't need this, it did not grow him or his character at all. I think Violet and Marcus even could've been a between 3 and 4 spin-off but honestly I think their story is fine. Even if it is THREE love stories in one season. Francesca and John felt like such a focus too, and I think just. At least one, either Fran n John or Marcus n Violet should've been saved for season 4 if they were going to have this many stories. But I would've def axed or sped-up Benedict's first before any of that.

This is my POV Everyone says they're not homohphobic. Well, I AM so this book series to me was everything a love story should be, and if I wanted to watch a homosexual i'd like to know beforehand that this series has that But getting a popular and loved heterosexual book series spinning the plot completely and adding some scene (with Benedict) that doesn't add to his character. It just doesn't make any sense. All these overshadowed the main couple for the season and made fans angry because season 1 & 2, it was all about the main couple and some little scenes hinting the next couple to be. This diversity nonsense has gotten out of hand, really. Also if francesca (don't remember her real name rn) is lesbian and can't act romantic scenes with a male actor then i think that she's not a very good actress. Just look at Jonathan Bailey being gay and acting so in love with Kate I didn't even suspect for 1 sec he was acting so knowing afterwards that he is gay just made me in awe of his acting skills.

The books are much better than the show.

To be honest I read the book and was interested in see Michael and how they portray him. But know that is Michaela, I lost all interest. Is like you force something and make the rest of the story without sense. And tbh I not interested in see a queer relationship at all. There is plenty of other shows that make lgbt etc programs. But in escence Bridgenton are about heterosexual romantic relationship that reminds me of Barbara Cartlan novels. You change the key escences of a book and you are going down with the program because precisely that people are your viewers supporters of your product. But they don’t learn. 🤷🏻‍♀️

That was not actually how Mitsunari’s side lost, but it certainly propelled various daimyo and retainers to take sides, and on to Sekigahara. The actual battle was over in a matter of hours, due to the defection of Kobayakawa Hideaki of the Western Army to Tokugawa’s Eastern Army at the last minute. That turned the tide of the battle.

Well unfortunately season 3 will be my last season i watch. Im so tired of them changing the original stories too much. That sucks because i really enjoyed bridgerton. But i just cant. I was hoping to see the actual story come to life.

Benedict’s entire story was a waste of time... three-somes are NOT romantic! I could not watch that perverted junk without cringing. There were so many better things they could have done with that time! Like Penelope and Colin reading his journal in bed. Like Mr Dankworth explaining to Colin how he and Prudence got together (since that was never shown). Anything other than the Benedict-Tilly-Rando sex pile would have been better.

Eloise and Benedict made sense but Francesca seems forced .S3 was the last great season!

Anyone else notice the pregnant pause and the look Francesca gave her husband’s cousin at the end of Season 3? 😱 My issue - Francesca’s story should be complete since she married Lord Kilmartin and they are headed to Scotland. Except for a few scenes with them visiting with some babies, I don’t want to spend part of season 4 about her having an affair with her husband’s female cousin. Let’s just close her love story chapter so we can move on to Season 4 focusing on Benedict and Eloise.

I haven't even read the books, and I don't support this mess (as a black lesbian). Is the queer, white showrunner pandering? Is she madly in love with a black woman? Why can't she write her own screenplay with original characters??

Thank you- I feel so much better after reading all these comments. I was actually left angry about the series, and all I was seeing was just accusations of how wrong I was. I know it is foolish to actually get bent out of shape for a show, but the feelings were real, and SO many good shows have been ruined by all the tropes and sex. Just another show to probably dump

I didn’t care for Benedict’s threesome with that male artist and the woman he was seeing. I also generally don’t care for his portrayed goofiness and overall aimlessness and lack of direction.

This two-year wait per season is just awful!

I adored the Featherington arc, and wanted to love the show more than ever. But, then I remembered other points- like the problem in that after they had assured the mom (and us) of their true love, right after the marriage she is struck with what we are to believe was real love/lust, which rather dumps the first love story entirely and shows Violet was, actually, right in her initial response. All the sexualizing destroys the show for me, as we are not all 'horny little devils' (as nicola says). Much like Colin acting like he should be forgiven for accusing pen of joining in sex as entrapment, as he was a man of honor, to be forgiven because he sometimes kept up caresses. He KNEW her mom had accused her of the SAME THING, and he pulls it to. That is not love

It’s a CHARACTER!! You can say Joshi played the character better, but get over it. And the performance is all based on the words written for them. Give the new guy a break because all of the complaining and pining won’t change anything.

I am not scared to say it bothers me. Because it changes the signification of the story but also because two women bothers me. Call it homophobia, I am sure we are many people bothered but all too scared to say it out loud…Benedict being bisexual also bothers me. It’s not relevant to me + ruining the sexy vibe of the series for me…I think now that whistledown is unmasked, there is no point in keeping up with the show :/ sadly
