Hi, I am Trish and together with my photographer husband Iain, we love to travel to remote and secluded places. We have a Unimog U1250 that we rebuilt over six years into an amazing home on wheels. Our channel will showcase the collaboration between photographer and muse to create unique photographs in the spectacular Australian landscape, some of which can be found on my Onlyfans Page or my Playboy page.

Radiator
We bought a second hand five core radiator to fit to the truck. To make sure it was going to work properly, we asked the guys at RAMS to open it up and clean it properly. They took the top tank off, and, and found that about 30% of the tubes were blocked. Each tube was cleaned, and the radiator re-soldered together and pressure tested.
We have had it in the truck for over a year, and it has worked great with the new cooling fan we fitted as well. There was nothing wrong with the old one, but Iain likes working on the truck if we don't have the opportunity to travel.

Canvas window cover protection

We made these canvas covers to protect our plastic side windows from scratches when pushing through the scrub and trees. They have worked well for over 6 years now, and through some pretty tight tracks. Cracking adventures, that really is the way to live. Nice selection of bikinis.. you dont need too many clothes where you go.
We love it, and less clothes means less time going to the caravan parks to wash clothes

Sure was, and that radiator had bee flushed with the add on chemicals before we bought it, shows what needs to be done on the old brass and copper radiators to get them properly clean

having problems with a low pressure bosch nozzles. well first of, getting a proper opening pressure reading is almost hopeless. the injectors are meant to open at 135 bar. if i want i can make it pop at 80 bar. if i continously spray then i can get it higher. so i decided to use the maximum pressure it pops at for the adjustment. but the injectors spraied so much differently that engine was barking when it got warm. pulled them down and adjusted them to spray more or less similarly by ear which got rid of the barking for now but pretty sure it's gonna be back soon. but ye, the quality of any vehicle parts is absolute shit these days.
Sorry, can't help much on that, I only know that it took quite a few tests to find enough nozzles that work, my injector were fine.

Hey guys, I don't know what happened to my notifications but I only just saw this post this morning. Love that you are still posting, I love your adventures and wish I was younger again. Keep your fitness up because when we hit 55-60 it starts to wane very quickly. We're in our seventies now and really feeling it loading all the toys every day. Do you have any video on rebuilding the fuel system from the fuel tank components to the Injection Pump? I need to stop the air from infiltrating from the fuel tank to the fuel filters. I think the tube that enters the new tank that I had to install has micro-holes in the tube or I never had the correct internal parts for the tank in the first place. There was a 12 volt external pump on the exterior of the fuel tank. Is that the way that Mercedes Benz mounted the fuel pump on a 1975 (406) or is that rigged up to get the next guy to fix the Unimog?! LOL! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love the rebuild - wish I had the knowledge to do your level of work!!
Hi Ron, The fuel system is quite simple. The normal way would be a line from the fuel tank to the lift pump on the engine block. The other guys must have fitted it. On ours I fitted a facet pump and a CAV fuel filter to protect our Pollock valve that swaps between the two fuel tanks The most likely source of air is the little T piece on the injector return line that goes into the feed for the lift pump, it is made from plastic and can crack after many years, and lets in air. The t piece is at the back of the block, just follow the return line down to the main line. If you look on Benzworld, there is lots of help there.
@@UnimogAdventures I will do that tomorrow in the morning. I have to have the 406 up and running to remove snow during the winter. The unit has been faithful since 1975 and just needs deep, deep service. Thank you for your input!

G'day to the two of use's. great video's and photos, but I am wondering, were you both ever in townsville a few years ago, and did you ever do the walk in the early morning around many peaks range, I use'd to have a short chat to this couple on the sunday morning as they walked back along the coastal track. hope for a reply. We did live in Townsville, not sure if we went to the Many Peaks range, can't say we have heard of it. We did go to Magnetic island a lot.

It depends, you need 4wd, and for the soft sections, as long as you have decent ground clearance, and air down the tyres, it should be OK.
I have the same chairs. They are super comfortable
