Starting to make some proper progress on the floor, I remove the concrete forms to reveal a slight issue with the concrete underpinning for the wall and manage to get a final grade on the barn floor after having problems with some hire equipment- its slow but its progress, thanks for watching

      it works ok, I've had inconsistent results with it tbh, some elements work better than others but used it on a few repairs since and for the price its been quite handy to have around

    Spoke to a Dewalt guy on a roadshow. They split the shafts to half the shipping costs. No other good engineering reason other than ease of shipping.

    Sir, the rear air vent. Is the only way to access it by removing the tub?because my ford t6 water leaking through that.

    Thanks for showing the location of the BCM. I need to find a + or - feed from the reverse switch (under gear lever gator I believe). Finding the wire at BCM seems an easier job than removing plastic trim around gear lever. Can you tell me which wire and which plug receives a + or - from the reverse switch?

      tbh this was a year ago and I've not had a need to look under there since, i don't have the schematics for the loom unfortunately so not sure which wires you're looking for sorry, i just followed the instructions given with the kit

    No intro, but this seems a nightmare job to wire a tow bar. I fitted a tebas7 relay and just tapped into the wires at the left rear. Am I missing something that explains why this kit is a good solution?

      tbh i just bought the kit as it was a dedicated fit for the van, tow bars are a lot more complex that they used to be thats for sure

    Hi Paul - I have an MAN too. Any ideas on how to fix a real rattly sliding door. I can't find anything specific to MAN TGEs. The noise is becoming unbearable. 2020 LWB. Deal did change the rollers under warrant. Cheers

      I've not really had much of an issue with mine tbh but I'd start by lubricating the door locators on the 'B' pillar and making sure the runners are in good condition, my replacement door was a new take off unit and came with the runners, the one that came off the van was seized and worn flat- replace (if worn) or adjust the locking mechanism in the 'C' pillar to pull the door in tighter, you can also get extended rubber stops that put extra pressure on the door when its closed but personally i dont like that idea

      easiest way would be to drop the tank down unless you have the bed off the back as the pump is situated in the fuel tank

      no but with the rear supported by the engine lift it was easily manageable weight wise, needed two people to lift more due to its size and awkward shape etc

      no sorry I didn't get that on video unfortunately, from memory there were three bolts at the rear bolting it directly to the bed and a piece of stainless angle iron at the front

      tbh it was quite a while ago now and the its no longer here but from memory the front was lifted by dropping the hub on the strut by one hole then adding reinforcement (angle iron and c section ) - the rear needed major reconstruction due to rust so i made new upper spring mounts and fitted mk5 escort front coil springs and modified sierra rear shocks (length was ideal but mounting holes needed modifying )

    Everybody just shows how to replace a belt, how to do the crankshaft phasing if you have lost the phase, where are the markings ?

      as long as you use the locking pins the engine should be in time, just make sure you rotate it by hand for a couple of revolutions before trying to start it to check that nothing touches or locks up

      @@paulsprojects1 I have managed to find the markings on the crankshaft, they are on the external belt pulley and on the timing belt cover. There was a slight misalignment of the camshaft due to the bad/worn timing tool that was not the exact thickness that allowed the camshaft to move for a few degrees. Those engines are very sensitive to misalignments.

      I had a good deal on it from a trader after having a good look around and pointing out just how bad it was, he did offer to put a new mot on it for a couple of hundred more but I'm doubtful that it would have been fixed to a decent standard for that

      off the top of my head i think they were 10 or 12mm spline/triple square type bolts

    Why dont change the Timing belt from the Oilpump? I dont understand this... easy work and its so important. The CT1218 cost maybe 15-20 Dollars maximum! Thats called " Botch ".

      no I didn't sorry, just made the plate to suit the application, it will probable be different for each situation depending on how the door is cracked
