This is not for intermediate riders or people who are looking for tips on how to make their shifting better or more efficient. This is simply to help teach inexperienced people how to shift gears on a bicycle. I hope this encourages you to get on your bike this summer :) IG: michael.c...
Biking to Work: Becoming Who I Want to Be
zhlédnutí 68Před 2 lety
I didn't get across all the points I really wanted to on this ride/vlog. But basically, I biked to my full time job for the first time. 20 miles one way. Biking to work has been something I've wanted to do since I discovered cycling. And I always made excuses disguised as logistical reasons for why I couldn't realistically bike to work. But I recognized my fear disguised as rationality and will...
Biking 56 Miles in Chicago

Strava created the ability for its paid subscribers to create challenges and invite people to them. Challenged my friends to do a 56 mile bike ride (the distance of the bike portion of a half Ironman). Evan came up to Chicago for the weekend and the result was inevitable. Biked along the Chicago Lakeshore Trail and showed Evan the city! Music: Foewi - Oscilloscope soundcloud.com/user-153919822 ...

Went to see my friends Evan and Megan in Saint Louis for the inaugural bike ride of 2021. A little over 40 miles of Missouri hills. Beautiful Zwift definitely did a great job keeping me in shape over the winter and is a great training tool. But there is just no comparison. I've had my hero 5 since 2017. Never used it other then when im going to festivals.. but after seeing this video I think im going to need to upgrade.. Sucks but the stable of the 8 really is a difference. The 5 is still great for station settings. Podcast or gaming came ect

    Shocking difference!! I don't use it in sport so I don't mind the performance on stabilization, but curious about the different color of sky, were they in different white balance settings or is it really that bad?

    Wooow man glad to came cross your chanel, appreciate the review man, would you recommend the lte version for someone who have a very samll wrist?

    • @mikeandhisbike9735
      @mikeandhisbike9735 Před 3 lety

      I think the standard size would work just fine for someone with a small wrist. The watch face isn't too big. Especially when compared to the Fenix. Also, the wrist strap on the 945 has holes all throughout so you can make the loop as tight as you'll ever want.

    can it reroute if i had a wrong turn?

    • @mikeandhisbike9735
      @mikeandhisbike9735 Před 3 lety

      I do not believe so. It will simply notify you that you're off course. In order to 're-route' you need to end the course and create a new one. Just for the record, rerouting after a wrong turn has never been a problem. The notification that I'm off course has been helpful enough for me to simply get back on course.

    i'm an average guy with average fitness (i mean i can run 10k+, ride my bike for 100k, but not withing any good time limits) i'm using fenix 6x pro -basically 945 with better build and bigger screen; I love it. Very helpful tool to get on track with your stats and then some. Screen is the best part of it

  • @natesilvers2166

    I have the same Airpods, H10 and 945. It's nice and all but I'm starting to miss just having an FR10. It was simple days back in 2015-2018 and I was running 120 miles a week without heart rate or training metrics. I used to listen to my legs and ask myself can I keep up this pace today for 16km whilst it feels easy. I never got injured, sometimes my legs would be dead but I'd just run slower. Since the 945 I've not had a single PB, mileage is lower and I'm slower. I think the Airpods make me tired the radiation can pass through brick walls and they're both sitting right next to my brain. I'm thinking of selling it all and going back to a 230 and running by feel. Then donate the money to animal sanctuary.

    Good comparison, I'm surprised the Session 5 isn't better than that, I've seen comparisons where the 5 footage was a lot less shaky, like here : czcams.com/video/fNl6ENlrQ3k/video.html

  • @thomasphilipmeadows4569

    Thanks for the comparison, as I was seriously considering the session to pair with my hero 7 black. But the older stabilization just doesn't cut it any more, compared with the newer hypersmooth.

    Can you read the text of notification like a text message, what's app message on the watch when it's connected to the phone? I have doubts about buying Fenix 6 pro (newer), Fenix 945 (lighter), or Apple watch (same ecosystem as my other tool). I am a normal guy, not a professional athlete, and also I have AirPods pro and I was thinking about connecting it to Garmin, so your video was very helpful for me. Thank you!

    • @mikeandhisbike9735
      @mikeandhisbike9735 Před 4 lety

      Yes all notifications are readable on the watch when idle and during activity. I did have minimal experience with that however considering I turned off my notifications almost immediately. But the overall visibility of the watch has never been a problem.

    • @mikeandhisbike9735
      @mikeandhisbike9735 Před 4 lety

      I did not mention this in the video, but I did try out the first version of the Apple Watch with all my gear before buying the Garmin and hated how it all worked. Even though I have an iPhone and AirPods Pro. I highly prefer the Garmin Forerunner 945 to the Apple Watch I tried for a few workouts.
