I actually liked Yoshi's Island DS better than the original. It kept everything from the original, and the new additions prevented the feeling that you were just playing more of the original. I think there are some things worth noting that you left out. The other way the DS dual screens are utilized are the "look up" and "look down" function. By either "looking up" or "looking down," it moves Yoshi from the top screen to bottom screen or vice versa. This allows the gamer to see extra space above or below, which is very useful for very vertical levels. It's not a big utilization of the dual screens, but a utilization nonetheless. The one addition I found that detered the game was the character coins. Yes, it's not required for a 100 score on the level, but since the game does keep track, I imagine most completionists would consider this a requirement for 100% full completion. Nothing is more annoying than reaching the spot of the character coin, only to find out that you have the wrong character. Even backtracking doesn't help, for sometimes character changing stations can be way far back, making more work to go all the way back and advance through the level again. That final boss battle against Giant Bowser is not that easy. I wasted several minutes firing eggs at Giant Bowswer for nothing to happen. I had to look up in a walkthrough that, in order to defeat Giant Bowser, all 4 projectile eggs need to collide in front of Bowser's face. If only 3 eggs collide, it's a miss. If all 4 collide just around Bowser's face, it's miss. It is harder to line up the 4 Yoshis at an angle that will cause the Yoshi eggs to explode in front of Bowser's face. Not to mention you have to do it 6 times instead of the 3 times of the past 2 stages! I must confess, since I played this game on the Wii U Virtual Console, I spammed the crap out of restore points.

I'm glad you like this game but it doesn't deserve any trophies from me. This game is not underrated. It gets what it deserves. It doesn't do anything new, it's easy, it's boring, and the music is dull. I am glad however that they brought the original 6 worlds back. The DS version went to 5 worlds. Beyond that though, besides a couple interesting ideas, this game isn't all that great. It takes giant leaps backwards from the originals. I don't hate this game but I certainly don't care for it that much either.

There really has not been a bad Shantae game. Favorite is Pirates Curse.

Shantae games are great, Seven Sirens was nice though I felt that the sirens didn't have much reason other than just being evil.

I just finished Pikmin 4. Man is it amazing. They really knocked it out of the park with creating an engaging and fulfilling Pikmin experience after how long it's been since the last game. I can't wait to see what they do with Pikmin 5

Outside of North America the expansion pack is actually cheaper, being 40€ or the local equivalent (base NSO being 20€) so double the price instead of even more It's weird that it is so much more expensive in the United States and Canada than everywhere else

I do feel that the classic games are what bring the most value to the service as they have a pretty good lineup of them throughout the various consoles included, and the special offers are pretty neat too. It's the online itself that's more mixed since sometimes it can good, sometimes decent, an sometimes awful like with Super Mario Maker 2 like you mentioned. I personally just use the service to play games online though since I don't really play older games all of that much if they aren't remade or remastered for the modern day (yes I'm one of those people. I'm sorry lol), so I just use the base tier service

Actually animal crossing has its own cloud save within the game so it’s mainly just pokemon without any form of cloud save…..

I would say Yes..ish, Surprisingly there's been a lot of NES and SNES games in the library while the GBA N64 and GB are still building up but still have potential. Also to be completely honest paying $50 every December Is honestly not that terrible or alternatively, if you want to save some cash, I would say go for the standard $20 version. Lastly and I know this isn't relevant to switch online but I want and wish Xbox and PlayStation membership to have the exact same price as Nintendo switch online, It could definitely help both Sony and Microsoft get a lot of people online and help their membership.

Paper Mario 64 is one of my favorite games, and personal favorite Paper Mario game. The Thousand Year Door is an excellent, massively improving concepts and making the story larger than life. However, nothing beats the charm, atmosphere, and simple fun gameplay that Paper Mario does so well. Great video man!

I know a lot of people still view this game as the "weakest of the trilogy", but to me it's the best for one simple reason: NO FORCED LEVEL REPLAYS! Crash, the other Spyro games, all of those had constant reasons that you couldn't complete a level on your first go through, and that always drove me nuts as a kid, and here as a 32 year old kranky butt, I still feel the same. At least with games like Mario, when you go back into the level, something's usually different about it, there's a better reason for me to come back through, but especially if I was thorough on my visit to a stage, I end up having to replay a load of boring, just to get to the last 3 things I couldn't do before.

I played it on the ps4 for the first time. Instantly fell in love with the designe and the game
