Join me on my journey as I wander through the jungles of my life trying to avoid the pitfalls of chronic illness and work to gain some freedom back with a recumbent trike.
I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) a little more than 2 years ago, but I had been experiencing the daily symptoms for about 8 months before my diagnosis. I was one of the lucky ones. Others suffer several years before getting their diagnosis.
Like many, I have a chronic illness. Like many, I have had my struggles just being able to function from one day to another. Like many, I have felt very frustrated and even experienced grief for my life before. For many, I aim to shine the light of hope for others by sharing my journey. I hope that I can serve as a guide and provide inspiration and motivation. And most importantly, to remind others: you are not alone in your journey.

I Got My Trike!
The next adventure in my journey is centered around me getting my recumbent trike. I decided on the Catrike Pocket for a few reasons: 1. It is made for short people. I am short. 2. It is lightweight. 3. The recumbent seat leans quite a bit. 4. I like the idea of the mesh seating since I can feel like passing out if I get too hot. 5. Less strain on the back. Many reasons good for someone who has POTS and chronic low back pain.
