Just a little melody that passed me by today. I tried to get it all, but it was gone too fast.

Woke up with a strange feeling... still groggy eyed and morning voice but this popped into my head with an overwhelming sadness out of nowhere. Very strange energy. When I was just singing what came to me, "scorn me for what I did and how I tried" ended in "died" and I crumbled. Wherever these words came from and for whoever this song speaks to- know that you're never alone and dreams are worth...

Love this!!!!❤❤❤❤❤😂
czcams.com/video/8_LiVjN5ABs/video.htmlsi=wEv59nIoX5FvsRl0 Japanese version
One of the greatest films ever.
Saw it as a teenager - Electrifying central performance ably supported by his METHOD buddies🎉👌👏👏
Johnny Friendly could have been a contender too!! 😂
Terry Malloy > Stanley Kawalski
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Marlon Brando actor legendary 🎭 Best Theatre 🎭
Kocham ten film❤❤❤
My best friend was telling me about this movie he's 64 years old and I'm 34. I love classics
Dignity is not found in your social or economic status, but is going in carrying your own personal integrity even when faced with hardship and adversity. Terry Malloy is proof of that. He became a champion of the working class by standing up to corruption against longshoremen.
And that Bernstien score makes the scene even better
Man that emotion just oozes out of Brando but it’s organized chaos and dramticism and everything else
Muy buena película.
Herman Munster himself Fred Gwynne is in the scene at 2:42 if you can see.
That and Casablanca. So many great scenes. My dad, from Bayonne, after Korea, worked as a longshoreman in Jersey City then. Found Polaroids after he died of him with a friend, who was black, in the park in which Brando picks up Eva Marie Saint’s glove after the Church had been raided. They probably shaped up that morning, got no work, and headed to Hoboken to hang out. Not common to see a white guy and a black guy hanging out like brothers in 1955. Laughing. Posing. Who took the pictures???? They could handle themselves.
God bless Marlon Brando and Elia Kazan
One of the best tell off scenes.
This scene is my favorite. Everyone seem to love the I could have been a contender etc. But no this is the better monologue.
Completely agree!
The fight was more fake than canelos cherry pick fights
"You're a cheap, lousy, dirty, stinkin' mug!" Me on realizing no political party is good.
Some would say Dean Pacino Deniro are great Yes true, but no can perform like Brando
The greatest movie of all time, there can never be a remake, period,
Exactly, how could there be one, those performances and cinematography cannot be replicated today, or ever. I think movies like this one, converging so much artistry and talent i.e.; Script, direction, cast, score, photography etc, etc, etc would be very difficult to try to emulate. Besides, they belong to an era and way to make movies long gone, and they are so ingrained in our cultural heritage that it is virtually impossible for any director, and the public in general to take on new renditions of it. Just saying.

I like. , , um Forest Gump or maybe , Raiders, or Mean Steets or uhh Last of the Mohicans. GLORY,
That's The Best Method Acting in The History Of Cinema.
Every time I watch this i get really angry, it'll always be Hollywood's greatest scenes ever
2:22 Johnny Friendly (Lee J. Cobb) calls out the big guns for help here. The leading thug was played by boxer "Two Ton" Tony Galento; the thug with the hat blocking the crowd is Hermann Muenster (Fred Gwynne)
One of greatest acting scenes if all time
Magnífica película..Marlon Brando el mejor actor del mundo..gracias por compartir😘😘
The Best Ever
This was elia kazan's justification for ratting out everyone in Hollywood during the MacArthur trials. Kazan RATTED on EVERYONE.
And he was a brave man for doing so
@@doodguytheblank2403 its all about perspective. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
McCarthy had nothing to with the HUAC and Kazan was a hero exposing the Soviet funded Hollywood propagandists.
@@andrewvanhalen1984 I never said he did anything wrong. It's all about perspective.
Tankies arent deserving of sympathy in my view. They are as evil as Fascists
Cowards.
V30042021. Marlon Brando el Actor mas famoso del Mundo. Gran Actor.
I love it that Brando never threw those typical Hollywood punches. Just short body shots that wore his opponent down.
Yes, and he throws them like a pro.
In most of his movies Brando used a stunt double for the fight scenes.
@@Ace1King1 Eiither way, it looks terrific, and very convincing on the screen.
He trained with Rocky Marciano to give role realism
But you can clearly see his face when he delivers those short hooks to the body.@@Ace1King1
Powerful..unforgettable. The American spirit. Try but you can't break 💔🙏 them Fauci. The world is wacthing America. The Statue 🗽 off Liberty shines brighter than ever. 🦅👀🇺🇸🇩🇰📬As a young child motivated me to legal migration to America. Like so much Youth today. 💜🌅
Marlon you ledge
"And I'm glad what I done to you!"
This is the most polite cursed ever. Don't need F words to show you're angry like nowdays film. On The Waterfront is a great movie anyway. Love Brando.
YES 😂 this was AMAZING! 😏 and after that I'm glad Brando beat him up lol 😌
Whatever
Hilarious
Bit too much pud on this one
Pigs
Fat shamed at every level
Gordon Tafe 2016
Is that the Andrea Doria?
My favourite all time movie
Best scene in the movie and 1 of the 4 good movies Brando was in. The others were Street Car, The Bounty and A Dry White Season. The rest were mediocre and then Brando quit on the movies and himself. He ended up being a fat recluse who would do interviews and rip other actors from his era and later and fill his face with food and drugs. What a waste.
no Godfather?
Bullshit Where’s The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Sayonara, Last Tango in Paris, The Men,Viva Zapata!,The Teahouse of the August Moon, and The Nightcomers.
He deserved the Oscar.
This scene won Marlon Brando the academy award for best Actor of 1954 !!!!!
I think the cab scene with rod steiger won him the oscar
@@MarcusAurelius21 Could be!
He had the academy award in the bag long before this scene.
I think he won for this scene, the cab one, the Edie Doyle date, the bar confrontation with Father Barry, etc, etc, etc......Gee, what a great movie. Thank you for posting.
@@mirazusta2002 Winner of 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture of 1954!!!!!!!!!!
One of the top 10 greatest motion pictures of all time Period!!!!!
The other 9 be? Out of respect man, I'm a movie freak, and I would love to know what your picks for the remaining 9 movies in your list would be. Even better, if I may list my top 10 Goats (we already concur in one, "On the Waterfront, this one is n°1 for me), let's see how much alike our taste are when it comes to movies. What I sense is that we are going to coincide in another two at the very least (maybe I'm wrong but I doubt it.) There you are; 2 Twelve angry men. 3 To kill a mockingbird. 4 The hustler. 5 Chinatown. 6 Lolita (SK.) 7 Paths of Glory. 8 The Magnificent Ambersons. 9 The Godfather (parts 1&2, sorry, I know this is a trick, cause it is two instead of one movie.) 10 The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Thanks
@@mirazusta2002 These are very good films indeed But you never mentioned two very excellent overlooked movies that should of had numerous awards even Best Picture of the Year: 1958s The Big Country and 1980s The Elephant Man!!!!!
Here's my list of the top 10 great movies of all time: Casablanca, On the Waterfront, 12 Angry Men, Gone with the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, The Hustler, Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, The Big Country and Patton!!!!!
@@scottmiller6495 Yours is a terrific llist, too. You picked outstanding movies to make your top 10 great movies of all time list.I could have definitely included your picks to my own list had it been a top 20 great movies list of all time Truth is that there are so many great movies that it is hard to choose from.
@@mirazusta2002 Now here's my next 10 for the top 20: To Kill a Mockingbird, Mr. Smith goes to Washington, Double Indemnity, From Here to Eternity, plus some great musicals: Oliver!, West Side Story, Funny Girl, The Sound of Music, The Bridge on the River Kwai, The Treasure of Sierra Madre! Now how's that for a great second list? Plus many others I didn't mention!!!!!
@2:27, that's Fred Gwynne, on right (the judge in "My Cousin Vinny")! [According to Wiki, his character is named "Slim" but Gwynne was not credited.]
Don't forget 'Herman Munster'...
