When I went to junior high school in sixth grade, the teacher gave me an aunt to do a report on and I had AN aunt ANT anyways terrified and I had to get up in front of the class because I’m very very shy and I was terrified and she gave me a D
legendary performance
my head won't leave my head alone is the anthem of Gen Z
RIP Boyd
Let’s goooo
1:18 crack the violin up
I was there but in a k hole on the side of a building where I found shade. It was over 100 degrees everyday and the water was contaminated. The restrooms were dirty and no being cleaned. Luckily on LSD you don't need restrooms. Lol
Man I miss these 9 plus minute jam sessions for a song
Tv made it worse than it was
Summer 99
Everytime i watch this video i notice new little things. 1. Daves little dance he does with his feet while playing, fabtastic. And .2. At like 6:50ish he watches things get thrown on the stage, he follows it with his eyes and does a big smile while singing 😂❤
The violinist is WoW
Shout out to the camera man for giving us 1:32 and 2:23
Congratulations on your induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!
Not a DMB fan, but always loved this performance.
Amo intensamente la pasión de esta banda. La sigo desde hace muchisiimos años y nunca dejan de parecerme geniales. Carter Beauford el batero debe ser primo hermano de Mathew St. Patrick 😂
Tony soprano can really play the guitar
Welcome to the 90s
caaaahhhhhtuhhh!!!
Alanis should have come and sing her part!
❤Time you don't want back! ❤ I was standing right there!
Wow I JUST heard this song for the first time ever a few hours ago from another Woodstock 99 vlog and had to hear the whole thing for myself! Great stuff! 🔥
"Drinking" here represents believing or adhering to a teaching or a theory or a doctrine. As in two scientists commenting on a third, "Yeah, he's drinking in Dr. Doe's nonsense." The "water" is the gospel message of Jesus Christ/The Word of God. The blood? Who's blood? Come on, the blood of Jesus Christ, the lack of which would nullify and invalidate the Gospel's message and relevance. It all starts with His blood atonement, without which, loving, forgiving, and yes, even beliveng wouldnt be worth a stitch. Notice that even the very first two lyrics of the song reference Adam and Eve being banished from Eden. Straight from the first few chapters of Genesis. Their eyes were "opened" (to their shame) and could now "see". They then "hid themselves." Praising and worshipping among Christians with arms raised is often considered "spiritual warfare", as it was even in Old Testament days. "Lay your 'arms' down " Dont wors- hip Him. "You are "blind fools." Christ called unbelievers blind and said they lead each other into the pit. The references to "wings, fire, boat (Noah's ark was a type or shaddow of the coming Messiah who woukd save the righteous from judgement). Satan thinks this world will be his forever home/heaven but it is indeed currently under his dominion, albeit briefly in comparison to eternity. Finally, we all know who "your Father" is referring to. One last note. Satan is "bossy" during this tirade but later confesses his guilt and ends begging and pleading with us not to trust in God.
Awesome band 💯✌️🤯
terrible butchery of this song
Oh my. So much history and reinvention fused beautifully… it’s an awakening to self love and self discovery and its exquisite to digest💜🙏🥰
This is the greatest sound engineer of all time, every instrument is heard and EQ'ed perfectly.
Fire the roadies, half way in to the show and they are still running cords . What?
I can't believe I was there for this incredible performance. And in the era of no cell phones- just enjoying and living in the moment. ..
4:40 - 4:50 got me bricked
The bass player runs the show.
We love you, Dave thank you for the throwback on this holiday season. Have a great one you and your family and friends and associates.
Quien escuchando este tema en 2023 🙌🏼✨
Kay I'm home with u now.
Wish I could go home
Brilliant!
Saw him for the first time less than a week after woodstock 99 in Charlotte, nc….what is now pnc music pavilion, then blockbuster pavilion (good lord does that date me)….by the way, I was only 8 years old….all these college girls (who were ten years older than me) were giving me high fives….great experience
Probably one of the best remakes I’ve ever heard.
Man that bass solo was so inappropriate. Stuck out like a ,,, you known.,
1999 - the greatest year of all time! DMB was and still is the shiz!
Carter really shows his talent here!!
Anyone really look at the guitar he is using here ? Brian black ---Victoria 😊
forgive boyd already - music is worth it...
Sweet Jesus I need a cigarette.
This was probably hands down their most miserable set. They must have been sweating their balls off 🥵
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Jesus answered, ‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’”
Who's the narrator in this song? Satan. It's his diatribe of begging us not to believe on Jesus Christ. Believing on Him is "drinking" in His water. The blood? Without His shed blood atoning for our sins than His message is of no effect. Notice that the words used in the song are of Scriptural origins. Just about all of them. Even ones that just sound as figure of speech. "Your horse is leaving"? References Christ's second coming. Btw, natives didn't even have any horses until we arrived. The boat? Every Biblical scholar will agree that Noah's ark was a "type" or "shaddow" representing Jesus Christ, saving man from judgement. Jesus even said; "As it was in the days of Noah.... so shall it be when I return." The beginning of the song references the beginning of the Bible. In Genesis, Adam and Eve's eyes were opened to their nakedness (primarilly their spiritual nakedness). They could "now see". They "hid themselves".They were "banished" from the garden. They forfeited their dominion over the earth and it was given over to Satan ("given to me"). "Lay your arms down". Praising and worshipping God with raised arms is spiritual warfare, in both the Old and New Testaments, and today. Satan wants to make our world his own "heaven and home". It's all he has, however brief it will be in regard to eternity. "His "wings". The "fire". "Poor souls". "Fool, you're blind". Jesus said that unbelievers are blind, and lead others that are blind, and both fall into the pit. Jesus told a man, who wanted to bury his father, with "let the dead (spiritually dead) bury the dead" (the physically dead). "Your father's spirit". Can it be any more clear who the Father is?
Them drums tho holy shit
That is one hell of way too make it your own damn this is cool
Got to find out if there is some kinda way outt here!
