It's identical to mine. Nice.
i agree 100%, i had 3 1st generation Camaro's 2 67 RS, one Yenko clone, 427/425 and the 69 Z, i love the looks and sounds of the old cars but for cruising, gas mileage, etc. i would go with a new vehicle, now technology makes HP not just bigger cams, however must more difficult to do 'mods' on a new car and keep it legal
you really can't compare two cars that are 43 years apart. In 2055 year, the Mustang you speak of will be a slow relic to. In 1969 the Z28 camaro's could hold their own against any other 69 cars.
fantastica!
I understand, certainly cannot imitate the looks of a 69 Camaro, that's how cars were in the day, at least you could open the hood and actually do something. Now many engines are dropped down, no more rented cherry pickers like i used to do, any old Camaro is worth plenty, i never see any 6 cylinders at auctions though, i think they all have BB now
James, I have to admit it is loud. I have to creep out of my neighborhood so as not to disturb the neighbors. No different than most Harley's after you change out the factory exhaust. Having said that, I have never been pulled over by the police except for them to admire the car. Gotta love Texas!
zxtenn - when I want to go fast in a modern car, I have a Porsche that does 0-60 in 4.1 secs and top speed of 185. I have never run the quarter with it so don't know the time.
Gearhead, I live overseas but come to Katy on vacation. Hope to attend a West Houston Muscle event, if any taking place in late December
I though I recognized the Streets, I live in Katy as well and have a 69 Yenko clone. we should get together sometime! hit me back if interested!
I got a '80 Z28 but ive always wanted a '67-'69
How much was the barrel?
All 302 soggy on the bottom, did you ever drive a car with 456 on the street or highway? It's a joke, i had 2 1st gen. Camaro's with 456 and with the Z-28 and decent handling it's just a waste-- the NEW Boss Mustang takes the old 302 to the cleaners, it's close to a 12 second car from the showroom vs a barely 14 second car in 69, i hate to say it but the new cars are substantially faster than the old, just read the old books, most barely broke 100 mph if at all, new SS Camaro 111 MPH, in 12's
This sounds familliar and im guessing you live in katy texas? Or was driving in katy tx cause the highway yall were on was very familliar
what's your opinion of the chambered exhaust? I have a 69 Z28 and am considering going to chambered. I want it to be heard but not so loud that the cops are pulling me over all the time
This sounds familiar!!
added to my playlist "ultimate car sounds compilation"... gotta love the chambered exhaust. I love the crackle, much better than the flowmaster 'drone'.
Please look at the rear stripes more carefully, there is a gap between the stripes and the bottom of the rear window trim. Gap is same as a friend's survivor Z28 with original paint. Fortunately, I have the correct argent silver front grill and will put it on if I ever show the car.
grill should be silver, not black. only time z28 had black grill, was on RS models. rear stripes should not go all the way to bottom of rear window trim.
Of all the great muscle cars of the era and I like them all, the first choice for me has always been a '69 Z/28 in Hugger Orange.
no eye protection???
Super nice is it for sale tdawiz@aol.com Tom
Ermm... is that a, "pimped," out 22.? :]
@onekwickss oo gotcha, i just assumed all 700 remington's were a 300. dumb mistake, but nice surpressor for a .223
@shfeddy he never said it was. Its a 300 whisper which uses a cut and widened 5.56 or 223 casing with a large heavy round.
@shfeddy no one said it was a win mag
very nice
no way in hell that tiny shell is a 300 win mag!
Seeadler, 6x, 30mm tube, illuminated reticle
Believe it is a 223 bolt.
Back bumper guards and chrome shift knob on order!
"Who let the dogs out?" Best line on youtube, ever.
Sounds nice!
Good on ya kid - Good staff!!
Are you using the .17 /. 221 Fireball specific bolt to get it ejecting the cases properly? Thanks
what scope are you using
True gentlemans rifle! Nice clean setup I likes alot
It really is a pleasure to shoot. So quiet you can hear the firing pin hit the primer!
That's a beautiful rig. I could shoot that for hours.
There is a shift about two inches down and to the left when going from unsuppressed to suppressed. There is no shift when removing and reinstalling the can.
wow ..... looks like recoil is reduced a bit ..thats amaizing does it affect the speed of the projectile ???
wait a sec is that child not wearing hearing protection? I didnt know supressors could get that quiet on such a large rifle.
Try keeping your weak hand and cheek weld in place while working the bolt.
where did you get your barrel, did SSK build your rifle? thanks
Cool, nice quiet :)
Very lucky kid!
I am pretty impressed with it. Accuracy is generally 1/2" to 3/4" at 100 yards. I will use it to control feral hog population at night. It should do the trick and not annoy the neighbors.
