When i was a kid i watched barbie in swan lake and the troll gave the definition of true love. "True love is very rare, it's when two people love each other more than they love themselves." To me that the scene where Rick and Imotep are dangling in the chasm and Evie runs to save Rick while Anaksunamun runs to save her own life, is the best example of true love presented in media ever. It shows the contrast between normal and true love as both Anaksunamun and Imotep are thinking of themselves whilst Rick and Evie are thinking of each other. I really hope you add this in the win counter when you do the sequel.

I just wanna say, I actually did pause this video for six ish hours to watch BES first. Even tho I had heard it was good, I trust this channel's taste enough to invest in a show before I watch an episode.

The continuing love for this movie just proves we need to make fewer straightforward action movies, and instead make more action-adventure movies. We need more of what TV Tropes calls “two-fisted tales”, throwback adventures.

Fraser, O'Conner, Weiss, and Hannah MADE this movie. Yes, Sommers helped. But, those three had the greated chemistry, without them the movie would have bombed! They really helped distract us enough to keep up our suspension of disbelief! -"Let's watch it. again." I already skipped back to see it again, before you repeated it. Plus, I'll have to again, so that I don't miss new dialogue after typing this in and hitting play. So, you are allowing me to watch it multiple times <WIN> -Jerkification - Nailed it in accuracy and in one-liners. What a jerk he was! -Because of Rick's and the sandy air's distraction, I didn't recognize the guy on the wing as Ardeth Bey. The leather and scaredy face he was making didn't help. He barely showed any emotion during the entire rest of the movie, after all. It until you mentioned him by name during the scene that I realized it was him. I was 19 when the movie came out and still didn't realize it was him until today. -I like that you are assured in your masculinity enough to give complimentto the males actors you are critiquing and to acknowledge that they are hotties. -Branden Fraser rocked at this role also because he is a juggling mime. He started out on the streets of San Francisco, along with many other greats like (just from the top of my head): Howie Mandel and (the late) Robin Williams, doing street entertainment! He was a shoo-in for this role because of his miming abilities. Too bad this role (and a few others) destroyed his body. It's one of the reasons he had to retire early. *Thank you, Fraser, for sacrificing the health and well-being of your body for our entertainment! -Beni did deserve that death, but he would have been fun in the next movie(s), too, if they hadn't have killed him off so quickly. His addition to the script was missed in later films. -After Beni's death, you see everything collapsing, yet there are still camels lazing around in the foreground instead of panicking and running off. Too funny! -I have to disagree with you, Evie was absolutely flighty! But, Weiss really made it work. She is book smart, but not street smart. That is where Rick really complemented her. Though, he was intelligent, his strength was being street smart. It's why they made a good time.

So I watched this movie on Prime and for those of you who don’t know, when you pause what you’re watching you get these little rod bits of trivia about the movie / episode and when it gets to Ardeth, the trivia is that they originally wanted to cover Oded’s face fully in tattoos but when the filmmakers saw him, they decided to just give him the cheek and forehead tattoos because he was just too friggin got to fully cover up 🤣🤣

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is 15 years old! It didn't get the best reception from fans and critics despite making $373 million worldwide My late dad still liked Wolverine I remember he said the guy on channel 9 on tv said the movie wasn't good during the first half, but at the second half it got better and by the last half it was the best part It sucks this was deemed by fans and critics to be one of the worst X-Men films in the collection Hugh Jackman's 4th time as Wolverine with him being a producer as well, yet it would be affected by a leaked unfinished cut online before it came out Yes, I know it’s full of cliches, bad effects, and makes the continuity inconsistent Ryan Reynolds had a short part in this movie as Deadpool but the creators really screwed up adapting him in so many ways it was angering especially towards the climax Some might call this a bad Steven Segal movie and Gavin Hood's direction with the script really could use some polishing It stinks this is so short too But my dad and I still liked the character, the performances, and the action sequences I’d rather they give us answers to why he joined the Weapon X program and how he lost his memory rather than no answers at all I really still like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine next to Danny Houston as William Stryker and I also don't mind Liev Schreiber as Victor/Sabertooth (he brings more personality than what Tyler Mane did) Taylor Kitsch doesn't do a bad job as Gambit either, he practically steals the movie Lynn Collins does what she can with the portion of time she has as Kayla Silverfox And the score by Harry Gregson-Williams is intense The whole thing comes across like a dumb anime or cartoon, to be honest none of that really bothered me cause I just took that as the tone of the film Let's face it; there are a lot of people out there who really love this character and there are still nods in this to several other comic storylines Thankfully it wouldn't be the last time Jackman would be playing him even after admitting he wasn't happy with the final product and the video game itself is 10x better being more violent since the character itself is more tailored to it I'm thankful more movies happened afterwards I just imagine it'll be hard to find a replacement with the current state of the MCU having the X-Men now joining the ranks

So, I’m confused about something. In the first movie, gwen said she couldn’t save her peter in a flashback. In ATS, we see that scene and Miguel gives her a goober thing. Was she with Miguel in the first film?

My wife absolutely hates horror and gore and anything even approaching them. But this is one of her favorite movies and she is impatiently waiting on me to sign off on showing our young boys.

I'm shocked you didn't spend at least a little time on the lighthouse beam beng one of the only light sources during the "lights-out" part. The way it shows someone's shadow moving across the wall, almost tracking them as they're running and briefly illuminating Miles' face and the glass brick in the background to show his expression (14:42), during the gun reveal before Helen's "shot" - how it illuminates Helen and Blanc in the background and slides into the foreground to show a hand holding the gun, then leaves the shot to cast that gun back into the shadows as it's raising and aiming, becoming a silhouette against the two still in the background (scene not included in this video), how it adds more movement and artistic quality to the shot of the cracking glass around the bullet hole by shifting down the hall into the background, out of focus (14:52), how it adds to the confusion and chaos of the scene by only momentarily lighting up the whole scene (14:37). It's just such a good idea and very well done.
