Intel used the slot first with the 233mhz p2
Only 3 RAM slots..?
日本の「XP2000」と言う僕の憧れの人が紹介してました。
neat! I will have to look them up!
@@UncleMikeRetro面白いですよ!
Bro has Pentium ii GPU
uhhh yes! Pentium II for the win 😎
I love this stuff. I haven't been to the recycler in a long time
we have to get you out more 😎
The perfect platform for a prebuilt
yes! I wish it had 2 core 4 threads but who can complain?
Wow~~~ 😂
I guarantee that it STILL WORKS! 😁
Try to power it on
dead board, traces cut by the rest of the junk in the bin. the CPU should be fine!
I bought vcr and old crt tv vcr is faulty and tv works
it would have died soon anyway. working used VCRs are rare
Your obsession with the CPU is a bit weird, why destroy so much of the laptop to get to it? There's value in all of it.
good ask! well, at these yards, unless you buy the whole darn thing, you at least know you will get a good CPU. no refunds, and really, a non-functional laptop you paid too much for in a scrap bin is wasted money
Intel Pentium M.. the precursor to the Intel Core Duo architecture.. bit of P3 and P4 technology, significantly faster than a P4 of the same clock speed. Absolute gem of a processor these were.
love the Pentium Ms too!
Ты где откопал этого мамонта 😂
in the Taiga! ha! really in a dumpster. i have another short video about finding it on my site somewhere 🥰
Any Bit Coin ?
yes! there were 3 in there!
Got older shyt....
there are a lot older ones in there but crap condition
@@UncleMikeRetro got some VSLIs, 286, 386 and beyond .. all up for grabs, for the right price..🫣
Please keep any 486’s and below as well as pentium 3 Tualatins that might be in good shape! They are worth far more as they are than scrap and getting really hard to come by.. the pentium 2’s, 4’s and celerons can all go..
i keep ALL older CPUs that I can get to work. bending pins is a full-time hobby lately!
I am struggling with my presario 860.. its the same board. And i am so jealous seeing yet a second person who got the cache..
I grieve for your struggles. cache aside, can I help?
@@UncleMikeRetro i am gonna try and get the image files created tonight... I just extracted(asyou said dont work) and my windows 95 and up mind couldn't get why the disks wouldn't boot. If that don't work... I will be asking tonight. I just got my third board, a "new" board lastnight. The second lost its fdc chip from age I guess, since I can't see or smell any problems. But get a memory and disk controller error(1780? Probably not right, I will have to consult the list I have). All I can say is thank you, I was 13 when I got mine in 97.. and its been special and near mystical compared to all others I've had. Mainly due to the proprietary nature, and me trying to find info 30 years later. Lol. Thank you again for the video and possible future help. Have a great evening!
my pleasure! I got this mobo from a trashed system and only managed to rescue the system board with cache (😁), it is not in a reverse sleeper system with a little LED bling and a modern case. I managed to wedge it in there! looks like a 2002-2003 WinXP system and is really a 486 DX-66
One day the 14900K will end up like this
yes! we all end up on life's scrap heap eventually 😞
Do you hapen to have any dell inspiron 1564 battery and adapters
no adapters, but really, something like the universal adapters from Onn or other manufacturers work well. lots of tips to choose from
These CPU slots were convenient at first .. it was easier to install your brand new Pentium II/III .. but the form factor was bigger, so it was more expensive, and the cooling options were very limited .. so Intel didn't go on with that ..
no doubt you are largely correct. We can never buzz kill the coolness of the slot form factor 🥰
PM266?
the memory speed?
@@UncleMikeRetro North bridge chip model. I guess. Because I saw that the South Bridge chip is VT8235.
id be taking the whole thing its not everyday you see a desktop cpu in a laptop
it was unique, right?
That brings back some memories.
good ones, I hope! 😎
where windows 7 Family pack founds? from .. i don't know? buy or later?
it was a limited offer back when Win7 first came out. 3 licenses in one box!
Bro thats Pentium ram
SDR FTW!
Thanks for the video Mike, I know thos is an old video and needed to know if I het verizon can I use a MoCA adapter toy 3rd party router so I dont have to buy a Verizon one?
the MoCA standard is universal. the only things that vary are the speeds, as it will default to the slowest device. you should be fine, but as with ALL things, you are never 100% until you try. make sure you get the devices from somewhere you can send them back just in case. i live that way myself
RTX 5090
someday 😎
hellyea
darn right hellyea!
Wait, AMD made Slot 1 CPUs too?
well, close to slot 1 configuration and called them Slot A
All purple pcb pc?
all purple!
There is a powerpc in the glass, maybe PPC G4 i supose
lots of different ones in there. tons too mashed/bent to ever be worth rescuing
I never thought I would see a mini itx board with a pci slot- You learn something new every day!
i have an AMD one too. some are nice like that
Those looks more like fossils than cpus
they cleaned up nice and work!
Blaaaa
blaaaaa haaaa!
Ah yeah I remember those times. Good old slot a.
rare birds nowadays
Can I expand the RAM of this laptop?
yes, 2 slots, probably up to at least 32 GB 2x16
Ese procesador es una joya
oh, it is a beauty!
KA-BOOM motherboards ftw
how can anyone NOT love a motherboard? 😍
Хаипирикс 😂
good times!
I want to take it home please
it went to heaven
Put linux on it and it will work great 😂
Linux 🤨
この当時はグリスでなはく、カーボンシートが熱伝導材でしたね。
yes! i have encountered some. have to scrape them off with a blade
Re read that I know it’s slaps
slaps! 🤣
La primera computadora que armé fue con ese procesador ❤
nice! and expensive back then!
That was a Slot A connector.
yes indeed!
dont touch those caps 💥 💥 💥
haven't bene harmed yet. yet
私が初めて購入したパソコンもスロットタイプのペンティアム3でしたので、かなり昔の型ですね。
