    The best thing Thornton and Dolton can do is vote smarter next time. Tiffany Henyard is nothing but a glory seeker and has always thought elected office is about self gratification.

  • @johnfanning9185
    @johnfanning9185 Před 2 měsíci

    Henyard is taking a cut on no bid contracts for everything from tree trimming to snow removal to towing companies. The reason she pushes new taxes for things like an unnecessary mental health facility is that she will have access to the tax revenue. Whatever funds the Township receives from the State will be reduced by the Henyard tax. I hope the FBI and the IRS are investigating where all of that money is going. Probably to shell companies in other peoples names. Henyard knows she is done, but she remains cocky because she knows that, no matter what, her future is already funded.

    the Village of Hazel Crest's only "transparency" has been sharing far and wide Catalyst's "plan" which is CENTERED around a warehouse and trucking hub, so why is the mayor berating the community for protesting a warehouse and trucking hub? industrializing that property has ALWAYS been what was presented and ALWAYS what the protest has been about so why does the mayor accuse residents of not knowing what we're talking about?

    History may not always repeat itself but it sure Rhymes a lot. Folks of Homewood are presently faced with the following quality of life question. Legally the courts have now sided with major developer replacing sprawling tree shaded good green earth with "never in my backyard" industrial Transportation complex and "Over My Dead Body" suspect chemicals potentially resulting unforeseen long-term health problems. So why do industrial sites always seek out the African American community ? Are we forced to once again assemble a parade of protest? Proclaiming Jobs jobs jobs Is from the very beginning meant to blindly entice, yet time and again never fully deliver. When was the last time you had seen an all minority construction crew regardless if gold Coast or Bronzeville? If I asked last time you had seen an all Spanish, here even caucasians have themselves become a minority hire in construction trade. How many reasonable cost rentals will attract black entrepreneurs to this all new industrial complex? I'm asking is promise of a few jobs worth completely cutting down every tree Bush and plant throughout your children's favorite Park? Then at no cost to you completely dig up and haul away tons and tons of black soil excavated six feet scraping down to Clay? (this makes underground utility installation a bit easier unfortunately recovery of root system ecology literally impossible when just enough topsoil returned allowing grass to grow. No worries about sooty black smoke coming out of major industrial Smoke Stacks or care less you could no longer catch fish because even if you could pregnant mothers would be warned not to eat Because of potential birth defects? Lastly would you rather be told by an out-of-state developer regardless if you like it or not that they will be constructing a major industrial hub? So get used to commercial truck traffic day and night driven in by out of state hollars with bright colored placards posted on trailer warning contains potentially dangerous chemicals? Specifically how land stolen from local Indians 200 years ago which in 1903 Homewood later turned into a private golf course now present-day investment Developers selfishly desire to use sprawling wooded green acreage. Once completely clear cut making room for a massive heavy polluting industrial complex regardless if surrounded by a residential neighborhood where black folk raising their families. It's always about time when local jobs become available to African Americans right out their doorstep instead of an hour and a half bus ride out to the far suburbs. But rather than Breathe new life into already existing Industrial buildings otherwise continuing to go vacant until inevitably demolished leaving an empty lot behind. These developers who claim they are all for the community are now attempting to make us out the fools... Any Urban neighborhood within 10 miles of a crowded major world City lucky enough to have Skyline View containing several of our planets first constructed and record holding skyscrapers. Then for such a community to have successfully Preserved a wide swath of untouched Green Space exactly like Chicago's original Indians distinctly remember it. From mighty Black Hawk through to chief Chi town Wabansia Only to suddenly have out of state Developers literally cashing in on our children and their great great great great grandchildrens living inheritance. And tragically while Indians May have been moved out of this very community long ago. Thankfully these tribal families towering Woodlands and wind waving grass prairies had remained behind when Indians were forced to remain well west of the Mississippi River. Patches of Chicago's Remnant old growth trees and plants continued to have a positive influence on countless City dwellers throughout the ages. By encouraging appreciation for Mother Nature which supported Indian way of life thousands and thousands of years before Europeans invaded. ✊🏼
