The official experiment channel of Odd Tinkering. I have a background in science and I love doing all sorts of experiments so I decided to create this channel to allow me to share my passion with you. Some of the experiments will be related to my main channel Odd Tinkering. Sometimes I need to do experiments on certain techniques such as metal plating before I plate something in my videos and I want to share the learning process behind the seemingly simple technique.
Making a Simple Metal Bender / Brake
In this video I'll make my own metal bender. The one I make can bend about 65cm wide sheet of metal, but the desing is easy to make longer or shorter. The angle iron I use is 5cm x 5cm and 5mm thick. I would recommend using at least this size of angle iron, unless the desing is much smaller because smaller angle iron might bend and make the bends not as accurate. Commercial metal brake of this size goes for around $200 and can't make boxes like this one can, so making one yourself often makes the sense if you have the tools for it.

This is a cool homemade machine but you can also use the hydrogen peroxide in a creme from the hairdresser which means you have less risk of it splashing everywhere and can also use it with toys with internal mechanisms that can't be submerged in any liquids.

you don't even need a blacklight LED strip, I tried with normal white strip I have at home and it worked!!! I'm honestly shocked at the result, I just wrapped it around the yellowed piece of plastic, I also used a homemade retrobright gel made from liquid laundry oxi bleach, aloe vera gel and potato starch

Amazing video!! Can you actually reuse the Hydrogen peroxide you use on one set of controllers with another set of items? How many times can you use a batch of hydrogen peroxide before replacing it?

When you say ten percent vinegar, do you mean 10% vinegar and 90% water or something else? I have been trying to electroplate with copper, and have been successful in creating the solution, but whenever I try to apply it to something, it just covers it in this black stuff that i can wipe away easily. Old, but as an electronic tech, you really aut to have looped those then soldered transducer, you only ever do simple lay over for testing. For V2.0 you need backer cylinder under the transducer spot when clamping to prevent distortion and air pocket formation, (All so want to mix your epoxy sepperate, degas then add on, then allow transducer to do the spreading after cleaning with acetone)
