What an absolute perversion of John Wesley's leagacy. Wesley's concern for the physical welfare of a man in no way was an affirmation of said man's sin, nor did it nulify the need of that man to repent of his sin (which would have included homosexuality) and place his faith in Christ. To suggest otherwise is not only absurd but also dishonest. Even a cursory reading of Wesley's Explanatory Notes on such passages such as Romans Ch. 1 or Jude 1:7 clearly indicates how he viewed homosexual relationships.

Thank you for posting this to CZcams. My adult child is trans. Our church is split about 50/50 on full inclusion. We're desperately trying to avoid talking about inclusion or LGBTQ+ people. Even pronouns are controversial. I'm navigating this blindfolded, so I appreciate hearing from queer Christians and finding books and other resources.

Jesus said he did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. When he went to meet with sinners like prostitutes and tax collectors they left changed not the Lord. To change what has been truth for 2000 years in Christian churches and over 4000 in Jewish synagogues because of cultural diversity is an affront to the sacrifice of Jesus and treasonous against God's order.

I'm just not sure about the crucialness of recogniIng any partisan elements in any groups of people who joined together in the knowledge of Providential blessings which are tangible in this and any other life[-ves]. I mean, it is okay to bind ["flock"] together as golfers or NASCAR fans or Afro-Cuban emigres or LGBT+ neighbors and thought leaders, but even at MCC's I have not sensed an undercurrent of factionalism, i. e. The beginning of the end of the UMC. Liberals will ALWAYS try to force their beliefs on others, and throw out name calling for those who disagree with them. They prefer to agitate and take over organizations instead of simply forming their own. I’ve no use for these types of people. Every single denomination they’ve taken over has subsequently been all but destroyed with loss of entire congregations and millions of members. The UMC sill soon follow that same path.
