they might not be the fastest but they will run all day nothing for mine to go 10 to 15 miles and have had them run up to 25 miles in one day

We’re older now, we got or third beagle, she turned 2 last February! We started right away training, light hearted but firm and with of course treats! Best one so far! Pretty much what you saying is how she is!

You cannot leave ANYTHING out! Mine loves my wife’s sandals! Define what you mean, by “out of their reach.” That short little guy can get up on things and I cannot figure out how he does it. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Probably the most sweetest dog, I’ve ever rescued. He’s been a huge blessing! 😊❤️

I've had my Beagle for a week now. And I can tell she's smart and very stubborn. She's helped to improve my life so much already.

My beagle 'Blu'...was VERY Clever!! She was able to figure out how to escape my Father's backyard, by hopping over a personal gate, then stacked picnic benches, then lawn trashcans with benches. She figured out that if she goes to the Other side of the house...she can jump over the 4' brick wall!!! Saw it and video-recorded it!!!

Frank the Wonder Beagle is brilliant. On my old cell phone he was able to hit the snooze button on my alarm. And when he's motivated, Frank can build an elaborate ladder to get from a chair to the top of the furniture piece which holds the TV set to get to the remote control so he can chew it. If thats not brilliant then what is?

While I agree with this list, beagles can be taught to behave. Mine never gets into trash, he never chews on anything but his designated toys. He even puts them away in his toy box when done playing with them. He was easy to house break, and has never made a mess on the floor. He does bark at the mailman, run the fence playing with the neighbors younger beagle pup, and spits out his dog kibble when he gets a piece he doesn't like. The only real problem I've ever had with him is severe aggression with other dogs when we take our morning walks. I cannot break him of lunging, snapping, and barking at other dogs. He's done this as a pup, and I have tried everything.

I had a beagle many years ago. He once figured out how to open the fridge and managed to eat his way through an entire box of chocolates. Fortunately he survived and it wasn't until many years later he had to be euthanised due to painful spinal issues.

The only thing that my beagle does is eat besides that I don't know what she's talking about but I let my Beagle Beagle he knows who's boss and he doesn't want to be punished by not going on a walk or being leashed he's a shadow dog no need for a leash just keep walking and give a whistle and he's going to catch up to me you have to see the problem before they do and have a good recall he knows he's not allowed to interact with other dogs I let look at the dog but he knows he has to stand by me and he knows most likely we're going to cross the street to avoid others(distractions) they work off anticipation as they know you better than you know them

Mine used to wake me at 5am when she was a puppy. She’d be in her crate and hear my mom up and about, so she’d start whining to be up and out too. One day I couldn’t take it being up that early, so I took her from her crate, brought her into my bed, and put her under the blanket. She sniffed around a moment, dug into the sheets a little, curled up next to me and fell asleep again. Now, years later, if she’s awake early in the morning and I am not, she simply leaves her bed and curls up in mine and goes back to sleep. Although sometimes she’ll wake me just enough that I subconsciously lift the blanket so she can crawl in and get cozy lol

We've invested a lot of money in Plastic containers. Our pantry looks like a Christmas event at Tupperware. My Vegie garden and fruit trees are all behind steel mesh. But funny as.

I found out when my beagle was 9 years old that she was getting up on a counter high table and eating things on there. She ate a whole pan of cinnamon rolls one time, she broke a butter dishes and downed to sticks of butter (have no idea how show got around all the shards of porcelain. When I first brought her home, she somehow got a hold of my bible and was chewing on the back of it with her little baby teeth. We also found out when she was around 7 that we could not leave any trash can out. We had to take the can out side into the garage, because she figured out how to get it down and the push it down the stairs. I don't know how many pens she chewed on she destroyed 3 remotes to our tv and dish system.
