That was nice to see you do a video with your son. Something I've been wondering lately is do studios still do test screenings? I'm sure anyone remotely familiar with Minecraft would tell them it looks off. Heck, maybe they do but it's an echo chamber of work colleagues instead of potential audience members. Just strange. And lastly, who the hell has been asking for a Minecraft movie? Same people who asked for a remake of "The Crow". Nobody.

The Trailer is so cringe it needs two generations of Chatos to survive it. It's hillarious how people in Minecraft can make better Trailers than the moviestudio with hundreds of millions of budget. You can''t outweigh passion with money.

I recognize about 10 mods including one that does that impossible roof shapes, micro-blocks. I think there will be a vanilla verses modder battle in the story. I suspect the tiny log block and floating tree is to tell you that two of the characters have never played the game. The boy and the woman. The half real animals and Claymation looking piglins have been available on blender for several years. People have been making shorts with them. I suspect the real people in the blocky game is the point. The discontinuity is intentional. I would not be surprised if the 'this is not how Minecraft's meant to look' is an actual line in the movie and the point. There are several movies that do real people in cartoons. I.E. Bed Knobs and Broom Sticks, Mary Poppins, Space jam, Roger Rabbit. One episode of The Simpson's does the reverse. We have 4 good actors, I don't know the big lady, I would not be surprised if the dialog pulls it back.

He is absolutely right on every point. The animated stills look amazing and the vibrant colors on the actors looks so much better animated. They even look like they would know each other in real life. In the live action they don't even look like they share the same zip code.

The mixture of animation and live action does not work, it ilooks odd and is unsettling to me. By the trailer, it seems the total marketing idea was show minecraft animation on screen and that would drive the minecraft fans crazy, it did not. Once again for modern trailers, the trailer told you nothing of the story, why are these live action people in the minecraft world ? Are you trapped and need to escape, do you need to save the minecraft world ? The trailer did nothing to inspire me to wanna see the movie, the minecraft players that I know that seen the trailer just sirt of shrugged and went back to playing minecraft.

I predate the creeper in minecraft. They were really creepy particularly when there was a glitch that allowed them to phase though doors or walls when you used a bed near them. That's not a problem for Direwolf 20 and others who never remember to add a door to their first night build. The 3D models of the buckets, Shelving, etc are available in some mods and two spin off games: Vintage Story and Hightales. I can see what they are trying to do. I suspect Jason Momoa's character is a modder and I have seen a modder with that "skin". I think there will be a vanilla game verses modder vibe with Steve and Jason. Clearly one of the two kids is a veteran player and the other is new. Those are two of the best current child actors in the industry. Expect good dialogue to pull it back a bit. The semi real art style is something several CZcamsr's developed a decade ago and they have a lot of fun work out there. Still I think there is a miss there. Someone is telling them there is a new fan base to be had in semi-woke and as Acolyte and others have found that fan base is a fiction.

I have been following SW theory for years. This whole thing is a joke. Theory has done nothing but talk about star wars good and bad and never shamming any one if they do or dont like something. He states his opinion and always has asked his community to be respectful and keep comments about the show. If a handful of youtubers could actually cause this much chaos for a brand like Disney we are all doin something very wrong and our businesses are more fragile then we could ever imagine.

I fear this is going to be like the Lego movie. Some late middle aged guy's version of something tangentially related to the source material
