Wow - what a great and informative video! It's rare to see someone give an accurate appraisal of an APX online. I believe it was the plethora of ignorant American Guntubers who - not understanding (or caring) that it was designed to be a pure LE/Military combat pistol - incessantly whined that the trigger wasn't a CZ Shadow trigger, the takedown was too difficult (they didn't bother reading the manual), it didn't have a red dot, etc etc that caused Beretta to dumb it down with the A1. Just as an aside concerning the rear sights: I'm viewing this on a phone so I can't see details, but they have the same appearance that the 1st gen Tritium sights from Beretta have, which gives the appearance of a black dot in the middle of a white circle in daylight (not the same style as the A1 tritium fronts, which has no white outline from what I've been told?). They were made by Ameriglo. Do the rear sights have any branding on them from Ameriglo? Or is it just a painted black dot on them? Anyways, great video - good job on showing how easy it is to take down an APX. I've noticed a few videos online where they have difficulty, but the recoil spring looks all gnarly and messed up - which might be what's giving them issues.

@@harpsitardo thank you! Unfortunately the sights aren’t Ameriglo sights. It’s almost as if the white paint caved in in the center. Most from this batch do not have this issue but a few others have reported this same problem. Not a huge deal to me as I plan on changing them to night sights.

When I showed her the safety function i was demonstrsting how the trigger will be dead... Then got a boom. It went downrange. Slide is now stuck with an empty case in it... I know a lot of people have problems with Century C93's but mine runs great. You just have to use brass cased ammo. Don't expect them to run on steel cased ammo. Took it back apart (it gets easier), put a little tension on the spring, and it works just fine.

You can use a handheld drill or a Drill press using a dremel. Handheld drill you have to make sure your going perfectly straight down i use a dresser a put the battery up against it and drill straight down vs holding it in the air. That is just telling you it's not chambered, so it doesn't need to be put on safty. Second, I am very concerned that your gun will fire cycle with the mag out. I owned an 84FS years ago and as said, just acquired this 85F. Neither would cycle with the mag out. I would have a gunsmith look at that.
