Part of the enjoyment of a balcony is the peaceful view without interrupting others or being interrupting to others in their enjoyment of how they use their balcony. Quiet calm seas at night or during the day are why extra is paid for it. Socializing is for when you are outside the room!

When I was a new cruiser, I did not realize I could turn the balcony light on and off. I thought it was controlled as an exterior light on the ship. I know...duh? But I did not know that was "my" light to turn on and off! 🙄🙄🙄

Easier on phone or computer?

As someone who doesn’t drink alcoholic beverages, is a diabetic & pretty much only drinks tea, water & occasionally sparkling water, I’m not sure the exorbitant cost of drink packages makes no sense for me unless single bottles of water cost $10 per bottle which is robbery. I’ll bring a water purifier & use fountain water.

You guys are Saints! I do try to pack my patience when I travel and cruise or just leave the house, but I was getting quite annoyed by the lack of customer service as you told your story! 😡 I am curious as to how you picked the Even Hotel and if you did any due diligence prior to booking? Were there any Yelp or Travel Advisor reviews? Was the hotel just having a bad day(s) so to speak? Like a change in management or personnel or is it always this convoluted? As you know, our money will spend anywhere, so while the accommodations are important, it is the customer service that is still paramount. Yes, they made you whole but thankfully you all are experienced travelers (and Travel Agents). The resolution should not have been that complicated. In fact, they should have given you some kind of discount for your trouble and inconvenience. That might help me consider giving them a second chance. Anyone or business can have a bad day but what you went through was over the top! Bless you for remaining polite and professional! 😇😇😇 And thanks for the "heads up" on the Not-so-Even Hotel! 😄

Just got home from a Mediterranean cruise on the Norwegian Epic...it was amazing...Greece, Malta, Italy. Shore excursions were fantastic and so good to return home to the ship and our cozy cabin...floating hotel. We also really enjoyed "Maltings" stopped there often on our way to dinner or a night cap before bed.

Food republic is part of the dining plan for the speciality restaurants, you get x amount of dishes in terms of dining package, so please update your information

Nice room. Im thinking of making a cozy room / bathroom private entry space for overnight stays. Cruisers only. Which would include pick up from the airport and me taking them to the port of Miami or Port Everglades ( Ft Lauderdale). I'll make it very affordable.

If purchased before your cruise you can also save some money. In addition, I would get cans from the coffee bar and or pizza place and take them back to my room. Just grab a cup of ice from the Lido deck. Tipping goes a long way, during dinner let your server know what you're drinking and let them know and most times they bring a second after the 5 minutes,

Yes, I’m very very disappointed in princess cruises. I am a platinum member with over 100 sea days with them on eight different cruises. I’ll be taking one more cruise with them in July 2024 out of Southampton. It’s difficult for me to stay loyal to them, given how they have cut back benefits, and then wrapped it up as a “perk“ New label. The loss of Alfredo‘s dining the addition of other restaurants with pay as you go, coupled with the ridiculously priced excursions make it hard to stick with Princess. Personally, I bought excursions on my own for all 11 ports we’re visiting and I’ve saved easily $700 per person. Everyone says “oh but what if you miss the ship”, you scheduled these things so that you have a buffer on the arrival side leaving at least two hours or more between the return to the ship and the all aboard time. All the excursions I booked are almost identical to the ships but cheaper. Personally, with all the onboard credit you get from both your travel agency, and from Princess, buying a drink package just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I get half off the Wi-Fi anyway, so I would never purchase the drink packages. As a retired military I also get $250 on credit. I think it’s also worth mentioning the pre-cruise experience with Princess has gone down the toilet. What do I mean? You can’t speak to anybody in the United States. It’s all outsources to the Philippines. When they had price drops, my travel agency had to argue with Princess to honor that twice they may be booked the cruise and I was able to get a similar balcony. With the most recent price drop, I was able to upgrade to a mini suite for less than the price of a balcony. But princess made it very difficult.

My favorite port is Dominica. It has the highest elevation in all of the Caribbean in its mountains.

That TV is an insult to cruisers. They should have made it portable so you can bring it close to the bed or vanity chair. Even the Prima has at least a 40" TV

Yes the negative is taking a tender to the island, but well worth it for those great tasting ribs that they serve. 😅

We were on the Encore in August of 2022 in Alaska and we loved it.

Thank you for this video. It made my check in process much less stressful when I encountered the same issues with adding the card payment and photo. I found with the photo, even though I got the error message, it let me add it again, I just kept resizing the same photo and it eventually accepted it.
