Peeps the Robin returns and makes a nest!
I say it's a nice day. After all the hot & dry & fires of last summer. The ship can handle the rain.😊
Completely agree. She is a real sweetie.
Was just watching your landing in Alaska, that was quick, lol. Love the deck but just to warn you, they won't pass to code without railings. They did that to me when I sold the house.
Awhhh KahOoooooo Miss my little CJ. Awhhhh to have had them meet woulda been the sweetest ever .
Have to watch him because of Eagles flying over
Magnificent trees. Lets hope they are there in 3000 years.
I sure hope so too
gettin that skip!
Yes, supposed to be on my other channel lol
This was supposed to be on my other channel
I always loved these trees so much. Here in San Diego we now have the South American palm weevil and it is literally destroying every single one and it is making its way to Los Angeles. It is the most depressing thing if you are a lover of these plants. The palm weevil seems to mainly hit phoenix canariensis but on very rare occasion will hit a few other palms like the chilean wine palm, Bismarck and prithcardias. There is a very mature wine palm in my neighborhood that just died from it. Another thing that happens to canaries is if someone doesn't sterilize their tool they can get a fatal disease called fusarium. The city arborist tends to spread this a lot when they go trimming all over town. No one seems to care. I have literally seen well over a thousand dead canaries in the last few years. They used to be everywhere and now if you see a healthy one you know it's just a matter of time until it will be killed unless it is treated which is extremely rare.
That is sad, no palm pests this far north
Hallelujah!! Mother Nature rocks!!
Yes
From 87! Looks great!😇👁👁
Nice!
👁👁
Country music playing. Just your thing, Joe! LOL!
I've heard so much beauty about Haida Gwaii. Wanna get there someday
Likewise. My uncle lived there in the early 70's. Wendy's son has been there a few times
❤❤
Pretty cool
👁👁
Love it!
Thanks. Cheers
Please upload more! Curious about the daily activities.
Also check out my wife Wendy's YT channel for more cruise ship vids. Gulf IslandRock . Lots of shorts there . I will also be uploading more here on my channel. Cheers
1:39 Windchimes.
All those people playing in that band are so talented! Like it was their dream to perform on a cruise in or to Alaska!
Yes I agree. You should see the performers on the World stage, they are unreal. Dancers, comedians, etc
That cruise ship is quite large to me!🛳🚢
Over 980'ft long
@@BananaJSSI cruise ships are like floating skyscrapers to me. 😅😎
@@abstracttom.cleanelephanto5659 They are pretty amazing. We are going to book another one sooner than later
Music is way too load for my taste. I will be on a PCL cruise out of Vancouver in August. I hope it a little quieter.
They were only doing that for about 15 minutes or so when we were pulling out of port
In a ship! Sweet!😍👁👁
That ship is so big it is hard to fathom when you are on it. It would be like walking from our place to the beach across the street, that's how long it is. 12 stories tall and over 114'ft wide. They call it a floating city.
beautiful trees sadly quite invasive where I live. at our place they often bloom in march to april.
Here they self seed like weeds. I remember 30 years ago thinning out a small forest of them with my chainsaw
Glad that guy on the loudspeaker stopped shouting, LOL!
Likewise lol
I bet Sasquatch like dancing to that music! Cheers 🎉👣👣
Lots of Bigfoot stuff in Alaska
Laburnum waterii. Been admiring these around the UK this spring also and reached out to ID them. Have never noticed them any other time of the year?!
They are beautiful trees for sure. This is their bloom time here
Man,i've planted few palms...is there any way so i can contact with you?
Here on YT and also on FB I can be contacted. Happy Palm growing
It's all old people! They don't look much in the mood for a party, LOL
Holland America is mostly older people like me ha ha lol
😳👁👁😌
Love that sunset
LOL! In MY eyes😳👁👁, that's kinda weird that guy on the loudspeaker trying to get everyone fired up. Especially with an awful song like the La Macarena. Hahahaha!
Yes, as we were leaving Vancouver lol
That’s what an ocean mountain scenic view is all about! 👁🚵🏼♀️👁
Scenery is unreal up that way. We travelled 1,100 miles north to Skagway, Alaska
Excellent info thanks
Great video very informative. Would this likely work with Schefflera Rhododendrifolia?
That I'm not sure, but it would certainly be worth a try
Wow! Alaska has to be the most beautiful state in all of the USA in my opinion!
I agree. My fourth time there and Wendy will be booking another cruise sooner than later
Beautiful!
Thanks. We have had these for years
How nice!😍👁👁
So happy to see her
Hard to believe that's on a ship!
Looks good, to MY naked eyes!😳👁👁
It was nice and we had great sleeps
👁👁
Heartwarming ❤
Thanks. I was happy to see her in the nest she built. Stay tuned for baby Robin vids
Cool! Looks cold! What a view!
It was beautiful. Temp was around 43 F or so
Unfortunately I had to trim one of mine a few years back as I planted it too close to the house in 1995(didn't know how big it would become)and had to trim a good few branches as were rubbing against the windows. Now its way past the windows, must be 20ft so is fine now 😅
Sounds like an awesome palm tree. Some times fronds might have to be removed in your case
The problem is that some gardeners doesn't know how to take care of Palm trees, especially here in the north
You know it!
I've seen those on your videos. They don't always chop them do they?
They do every so often
It makes them look like toy statues bought from a store lol. People tend to go way overboard sometimes.
Good to see, with my very own eyes😳👁👁😍! I gotta say I'm surprised about that last January being so cold on SSI. With the temps you had then, we normally would be -40C or colder! Yet I don't think we dropped below -36. And no, I'm not bragging. I actually wish our winter had been colder with more snow. We're paying the price for it now, with low rivers & fires. Not to mention bears getting into neighbourhoods looking for food
My eyes are open!😳👁👁
Wide open
I can see the palm tree. You know me & my eyes!☺👀😍
You have good eyes!
we can't hear what you're saying, im not sure you intended that.
Yes, I wanted that way . I just added music to it . Cheers
