All the orals are currently online, they are not doing Face exams currently. MIn 690 is the current information for the part A exam and then the Part B required for the OOW unlimited

Good to hear from you. My course will help you pass the OOW unlimited to answer your question. However, I come from a yachting background, so I talk about yachts, not tankers. As a result, my course is based on the OOW yacht syllabus found in MSN 1858 Annex B I cover this syllabus and not the OOW unlimited course, however, the OOW unlimited is the same syllabus the only difference is Cargo as defined in your syllabus found in MIN 653 The items my course does not cover is: Transmit and receive information by visual signalling Page 15 Cargo handling and stowage at the operational level Page 16 Monitor the loading, stowage, securing care during the voyage and the unloading of cargoes Page 16 IMDG CODE Page 16 Inspect and report defects and damage to cargo spaces, hatch covers and ballast tanks Page 17 However, these are items you can cover with 20 mins of personal study; I have helped several OOW unlimited crew in the past few weeks with no issues other than my teaching style is not normal, I am a yachty, and as such, I swear and tell you to fuck off if you make a mistake in my webinars etc. I want you to pass so I help you make sure you know the key bits to make sure you pass. Have a look at the two syllabi and compare them, and then when you are ready to sign up you won't regret it.

Hello, the chief mate unlimited is the same syllabus as the Master 3000 yacht so yes. It's in effect the same exam.

Hello Ashi, you may be able to get an extension due to covid if you can prove that it's stopped you sitting, however, MSN 1856 states: "NOEs are valid for 5 years from the date of issue. The date of issue will be stamped on your NOE. Once this period has elapsed8 you must make a new application with the supporting documentation and the appropriate fee." So I would be surprised if they extended it, to be honest. Good luck Fred

So you have a vessel abeam or abaft your beam that has a risk of collision. You avoid turning towards the vessel so in this case, you would turn to S/B. Hope that makes sense

Hello, great question I have no idea what the correct answer would be in an Oral exam, however, the odds of an examiner asking this is very low. There is no correct answer as the rules don't state hence as an examiner it would be hard to say if you are correct or wrong. Hence in an exam, it's unlikely to be asked. Fred

Hello Ali, the fee for my mock exams currently is £80 per hour, however, I specialize in the yacht industry, I worked on yachts and hold a Yacht CoC. Hence teach mostly to yacht crew.

as per the form it will take at least 28 working days for the application to be processed on a good month. So you have a few more days before they are likely to respond

Hello Teieru, This is rule 19 vessels not in sight, the magnets represent Radar plots, thus under rule 19: so far as possible the following shall be avoided: an alteration of course to port for a vessel forward of the beam, other than for a vessel being overtaken. Hello Omar, I understand your frustration it can take some time for the MCA to issue the NOE. The time frame varies from around 2 weeks to 3 months depending on the number of applications. Other than wait for the reply via email you cant do anything, sorry I cant offer anything more helpful.
