Hey
Thank you for sharing ❤
You are so welcome
Well done very interesting take on Crysanthamums, one negative point if you dont mind the feedback; stop clapping your hands its quite annoying
Noted!! I am in the process of filming and making a comeback to CZcams so this is some good feedback!
How do you work with feather mounts? Like what do you do with them!! Can you do a tutorial in mounts?
Thanks for your video! The way you explain each step is very helpful ❤
🌸🌺💮🌺💮🌸💕💕
The hat is fabulous, thanks for showing me ❤
You are brilliant, they are so beautiful, thanks Margaret Redmond from Ireland
Hello! how will be made the lower part of the flower? Is this already finished? How did you use this flower? Sorry for my English

Good day Can you please do a freeform design with a Mat just like you have behind you? Thank you
Happy New Year 2023!
Hi, I enjoyed the video a lot, especially the "quick and dirty" way ts stiffening. I would have turn to either starching or perhaps using PVA glue. I was really here for the abaca, long story and boring at that. Mostly I thought you could use another comment to feed the Mighty Algorithm. Yours, Ann
Phygian caps (the Greek hats) are pronounced "FRIDGE-ee-in" (or "FRIJ-ee-in") with a "j" sound. Great presentation!
The military hats were not ceremonial :) it goes very much in line with how war and the view of battles before the 20ths century. Battles were a show off, you didn't have camo, to hide from your enemy was seen as a sign on cowardness, that is why bigger and balder is to be favoured.
Just watching lots of tutorials about making fascinators and I love your feather tutorial but would have found it helpful if you showed how to attach it to the fascinator . ❤

Awesome piece of work. Thanks for teaching it.
What is the glue did you used John?
It was a hard glue from Silky Flora. Out of stock at the moment. www.silkyflora.com.au/product-page/glue-bond-hard
Hi John, watched on replay. It’s exciting rediscovering your stash. Possum x
Thanks! Yea I’ve a lot to play with again.
I stayed till the end John. While watching I tidied my studio and watched you trash yours 🤭. I loved the Spice Girls collection.
Me too! Yea it’s a little messy still but kinda organised at the same time.
Well done John, I am a big fan of the penguin slippery dip too! Others I am a fan of is Josphine Willis entry and Karen Geraghty, so much work in Karens!
Thanks JW I love your honesty about the future of Hats and your eye for beauty 💜💙💚💛🧡❤🧵👒🎩👑
Congratulations…. All too many times negativity is the easier option. Wearable art is a part of millinery competitions today. Love your choices … will have to check out all the others ….
How about a ‘cocktail’ series? Cosmo, mojito, negroni, martini etc….. love your videos ❤️
Magnificent work!!
OMG, your piece is beautiful, I love it ❤. Good luck
This is fabulous
Wirework is so challenging! Your finished piece looks so good so you make it all work, but yeah, it's difficult!
Great tutorial. Are there tiny beads on the end of the feather?
Not beads but tiny Swarovski flatbacks
@@Jwhmillinery thank you. It was so difficult to see.
Taking part in the Hattember competition this year for the first time. So excited!
Yay!!!!
Great interview, thanks John. I have Catherine to thank for my addiction to all things millinery. I did my first course with Catherine on the day she opened her shop. Loved it and straight away booked in for another and have continued on from then.
Lovely to hear about your background. And she is an absolute doll!
Please CN I get r WhatsApps number thank you
Wooow this is beautiful thank you God bless you u
Good morning, Please I have a question It's quite different 😔 I am supposed to make a very wide brim hat that I have to cover with a fabric I used two layers of sinamay and stiffened it The brim wasn't strong after adding the fabric even when I wired it My question is what did I do wrong?? Is there any other alternative to sinamey?? Will be glad to hear from you
You might need to support the brim from the head for to the edge of the brim. Once it gets to a certain size, it needs additional support. I would possibly think about making a wire brim and covering with fabric if possible.
@@Jwhmillinery thanks alot sir, looking forward to that
