What is this? Your making me pay you to stand at the register? What is the meaning of this? Have you gone off the deep end?
I remember singing this in my highschool choir a few years back, when I was maybe around 16 One of my favorites we did, very beautiful song I remember just vibing to it lol
I am in this recording as an Alto...good times <3
Gawthrop lyrics, “Sing me to Heaven” In my heart's sequestered chambers lie Truths stripped of poet's gloss. Words alone are vain and vacant, And my heart is mute. In response to aching silence memory Summons half-heard voices, And my soul finds primal eloquence and Wraps me in song. Wraps me in song If you would comfort me, Sing me a lullaby. If you would win my heart, Sing me a love song. If you would mourn me and bring me to God, Sing me a requiem, Sing me to heaven. Touch in me all love and passion, Pain and pleasure, Touch in me grief and comfort; Love and passion, Pain and pleasure. Sing me a lullaby, a love song, a requiem, Love me, comfort me, bring me to God: Sing me a love song, Sing me to heaven
BRINGS BACK SO MANY CHOIR MEMORIES, AND NOW HIT THE SPOT WITH MY LATE HUSBAND'S PASSING.
I don't think I will ever be able to EXACTLY tell or show anyone what's in my heart or how I see the world. I am different. I have always been different. I will always be different. That's just how it is. But this song right here comes pretty near to perfectly describing what's in my heart and how I see the world. I also think that in order to truly understand this song and sing it and mean it, one needs to have actually lived a little and known God, and to have tasted both of good and bad in this life.
I just got to perform this a couple weeks ago with the Far East honor choir in Seoul. It was great! I’m recording a version of it tonight for my CZcams just bc it’s so pretty
My choir is singing this for our winter concert and I'm super excited! It's so pretty!
can't wait to sing this in Carnegie :')
This is amazing and I am really picky
as an alto i dislike how repetitive the notes are but i love this song sm
The tenor notes are very repetative as well
welcome to being an alto lol
True, but that foundation is critical in songs like this. It gives the song a much fuller, richer quality. If you want a more balanced spotlight, try "Ballade to the Moon" by Sherri Porterfield.
Have you ever heard "Alto's Lament"?
As an alto I concur. However we do get to sing some glorious chest notes. Have you heard Altos Lament?
Sang this song with a junior high honor choir.. So beautiful.
Well done, my friend!
My choir is singing this. By far the most beautiful song ever❤️❤️❤️
Preforming this Thursday with my school choir
wow! community college? best I've heard yet of this piece.
Had the pleasure of singing this on international tour to Poland with my college choir in the summer of 2015. Can't hear it without tearing up at the pure beauty of this piece.
The choir at my school sang this and I feel in love with it then and their. Its so beautiful
Love this piece, and the singers sound wonderful, but it's just a bit too fast throughout for my taste, especially the beginning and around the 1:20 mark.
Honestly, I want a choir to sing this for my funeral 😭😍💙💗
shersher64 if i could i would bring my choir with me and do that
arr. jonathan quick?
Sang this in high school. Out of all the versions I've heard, my school's version is still my favorite. Probably because I was a part of it. I still listen to it 12 years later.
OHMYFREAKINGOODNESS 0:55 SOUNDS SO FREAKING FANTABULOUS
*0:01- 3:50

Chandron McMillan *requiem
Sounds like the bass section consists of one dude
My choir sang this song for an alumni who's father past away of cancer, (at the fathers wake,) this past august. Every time I hear this song it brings me to tears. I adore this song so much in so many ways.
Sang this in high school in my advanced choir class and it was definitely one of my favorites along with "Erev Shel Shoshanim".
yea, its beautiful.
I sang erev shel shoshanim for honor choir, it was my favorite piece. This song though.. Oh man... It's so pretty.

This song is so powerful when you sing it.
Our church choir sang this just last month at the funeral of one of our members, and we are singing it again for our Requiem Concert next month. Beautiful!

I remember singing this in my high school choir. I loved singing it. This is the most beautiful choral arrangement i've ever heard
So nice to hear "Sing me to Haven".... Thank you! Amazing...
Helpful!! Thank's :)
My choir director had a student who died of a heart condition. Before she died, she said if she could have anything, she'd want her choir to sing this to her.
Our choir sang this at our director's funeral. So perfect for the occasion.
Awe that is wonderful
Our high school choir is doing this song I sing 2nd bass it's a fun experience
Really wish I had time to learn the bass part to this song so I could sing it at a funeral....
love love love this song and i love singing it. can't wait to perform it!
September 8th! The installation of our minister. Just found out today that our first rehearsal for the new season is the 5th. (took summer vacation) I'm glad we've done this before. Such a beautiful song. Hope we can do it justice.
I most definitely love this song, this will forever be my favorite chours song (:
You're missing out then. I miss singing this song.
Not to be rude to the person who posted this, but this song was not arranged by Jonathan Quick. This is Daniel Gawthrop's song and this is most definitely his arrangement.
How can you dislike this? It's perfect!
Probably robots
we are singing this song in my chorus, im so tired of hereing this song that the name makes me want to yak
Crying. Miss this group every single day.
I was in this choir years ago. Now I am pursuing conducting for choir, because of my old choir director (This one who put this song together)
thumbs up if you have a concert tomorrow and still don't have this memorized.
