not only does Gerard do great things to help people but that father is amazing. so many parents go day to day not knowing what goes through their kids mind and what they deal with. everyone seems to think being a kid is the easiest thing in the world when infact sometimes it can be the most difficult part of life. everything's new, you aren't matured enough to deal with issues the best way and neither are most ur friends argo they can be a cause or can negatively affect things with their ignorance. Alot of kids think its not okay to talk about emotions and describe how they feel bc everything in their lives are so heavily influenced by people opinions, I myself have known this for a while and will be 20 in January, and I'm now starting to feel comfortable with myself and not really care about what people think as well as having more experience and knowing how to deal with the most common issues we face in life. being a kid sucks, and just like anyone else, kids can feel hopeless and don't know what to do. But there's one thing every kid will have, and that's a role model, and for me it was my dad. he wasn't always the best with words but he guided me on how to be a man and not just go with the punches sometimes. ive also been heavily influenced by bands like MCR as of recent but in the past it was other bands that helped me feel more free to be myself since that's what i personally struggled with. Gerard may be the coolest person i know in terms of celebrities in my eyes, and he walked on stage wearing a dress infront of thousands if not millions watching around the world. if that doesn't tell you that you can be and do what you what you want. idk what does, personally i don't wear dresses but the point still applies. and her father supports her, tossed aside his pride to thank Gerard for helping her in ways that he couldn't. remember parents, nothing is more important than ur kid and while they may be kids right now, one day they wont be and they may even be something great like a world class rock singer lol. but its all about how you influence them and if you are there for them. support them the way this man supports his daughter, because she is 10x better off for it.

I recently discovered MCR music and the story of Gerard as he went through his struggles. What this gentleman has gone through and how he succeeded is truly amazing and unique. You sir not only saved yourself but also saved so many countless other souls along the way. Your actions ha e not gone unnoticed.

I love Gerard so much and I know that my mom would say something similar to him if she could. She isn't the biggest fan of their music, however she understands how much him and the entire band have done for me and that they're the reason I'm still here. MCR has helped me through so much, but especially my dad's death. Three cheers and the black parade have both helped me accept the fact that death is just another part of life. I truly could not live without music. (My mom also might be taking me to see them in September and I'm really looking forward to it!)
